There was an article posted about Dead By Daylight won't work for Steam Deck, is there any verification about this? Any plans for it to get it to work with DBD?

    Sounds like the issue is with the Steam Deck's OS/Proton and EAC, which is something that'll have to be fixed on Steam's/EAC's end. The only way the game developers could fix this issue would probably be to change the games to work without EAC, and I don't see that as being a good solution.

    I don't know the specs of the Steam Deck and I'm not tech savvy in general but the game isn't optimized all that well so I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. That being said I can see the devs working on getting it to work on that system as the Steam Deck has great potential to be a big hit.

    Thing is, behavior could fix this.

    EAC has a native release for Linux and Unreal Engine can export to Linux


    So there is no need for Valve to weird maneuvers and try to emulate the Windows version of EAC in Linux, possibly reducing the anti-cheat quality, when BHVR could use the native Linux version of EAC and everything would work properly.
