I miss old freddy

His old power fits the character so well. He's supposed to attack you in his dream, not all the time. The devs should've thought about making him super powerful in the dream world to make it more of an incentive to try to escape the dream.

You're certainly not the only one.

Lots of people miss Old Freddy, yet sadly Behavior seems hell-bent on not giving us a way to play as him.

Yea I’ve lost track of how many posts I’ve left behind about original Freddy.. mix in his old dream pull mechanic with new gen teleports etc..

Long story short I found him significantly more fun to play as and against back in the day… now he’s just a licensed character collecting cyber dust while I use other killers because everything I enjoyed about OV Freddy was unfortunately scrapped.

It's a shame because old Freddy actually had a scary dream world. Current Freddy's dream world is just "area where you hold W." Old Freddy's dream world was scary to be in because of how unpredictable Freddy could be. He could see your frickin' aura damnit, and it was harder to do gens.

I miss him, I loved going around with M&A and that 1 addon he had where his terror radius was massively reduced and pulling people into the dream world without them realising I am nearby.

I also missed the fact that Freddy could see survivor auras if they are outside his terror radius in the Dream World, I really felt like I was Freddy, always knowing where my victim is. It was also really damn cool to think that there was this parallel world where he was and you weren't. But now, he has a basic kit and he is just missing that oomph and that fear factor that old Freddy had.

I like the gameplay that his traps give, the fact you can't tell what is real or fake, but the fact that you have to choose between the snares or the pallets really just makes both feel like a let down. Because if the survivors are good at looping, I need the snares and most of the time the dream pallets are never used.
