Information on Update 5.1.0 for Nintendo Switch
Head's up: We have decided to postpone the update 5.1.0 on Nintendo Switch in order to further resolve some issues related to the performance. We are currently unable to share a release date. Note that this delay will not affect PC, Xbox, Playstation and Stadia that are still planned to be released tomorrow (July 27 at 11AM).

FAQ – Nintendo Switch update 5.1.0
What about Cross-Play if we don’t have the update?
Due to the many changes in the 5.1.0 update, the Nintendo Switch version will not be able to use cross-play until the 5.1.0 update is released, this means that players will only be matched with other Nintendo Switch version.
What about Tome/Rift VIII?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to have access to the new Tome/Rift VIII until the 5.1.0 update is released, however, it’s tied into 5.1.0 Update so we are unable to make it available on Nintendo Switch before the update is released.
We are aware that it means Nintendo Switch players will have shorter period to enjoy the Rift but rest assure that we are increasing the duration of the rift by 1 week to accommodate the situation. We will have more details coming later on - we’ll share them with you as soon as we can!
What about the Bloodhunt?
Switch players will still get the Bloodhunt from the Anniversary Community Challenges. We’ll share further details as soon as possible.
Will there be any compensation?
Yes! Bloodpoints and Rift Fragments will be gifted to Switch players once the update releases.
