Nerf? Eh maybe just complete kit rework at this point. I don't want him becoming current Legion 2.0 but he needs serious, serious changes from PTB to live if he is ever going to be anything close to healthy and fun for both sides.

Called it within the first 2 hours of the ptb being opened, in all seriousness. Read my discussion history. I can already see people posting for him to get nerfed. That is assuming he is released in his updated ptb version, which I don't think they will. I'm pretty sure they adjusted some of the buffs. But lets he is released in his ptb update. I'm already saying it now, he will the most hated ranged killer in the game even more than deathslinger. He might be hated as much as spirit and the twins if he is updated in his ptb state. As a matter of fact a lot players hate him now, despite him being one the weakest killer the game. A killer that I managed to escape 95% of my games when I gone up against him... A lot of people hate him in his weak state.

To be fair old legion had no counter. Even this buffed trickster has counter, it's not impossible but it's possible to loop him. Now if he gets you in the open, and there is cover nearby... then yeah you will go down vs him. Which is why I think he needs a small cooldown similar to huntress, so he does not keep on throwing knifes after injuring a survivor. So they could a chance to get to cover. But I don't know what they could do to his power, it's going to be too strong or too weak. And from what you guys are saying, they would have to come up with a completely new ability for him. A new power, which I doubt is happening since the only to killer whos SOMEWHAT received a power changes was freedy. And even then it was not much of a completely new power.

I think he got tweaked a little but remember they never nerfed deathslinger or didn’t change legions nerfs so I bet they won’t change him

I would not compared updated trickster with current legion. Since new trickster will be able to down pretty quickly, especially out in the open where there is no debris/cover nearby. So I'm pretty sure you mean survivors when you say "fun for both side", since most killers who played the trickster during the ptb loved the changes based on what they said when I played. But yeah he is going to be bused in the open with no cover.

Yeah, I know the usb has been changed to be like deer skin gloves for huntress. It's just with those two add ons, we can remove 2 knife requirements. The idea is to aim at the legs of the survivor, 100% laceration applied, then explodes on the ground near them inflicting another 50% laceration. Right now, pre-buff v2, it can bring 8 to 6 knives required. After buff, it'll bring it down from 6 to 4 knives required.
I'm just wondering how that plays out .

Not so much, Huntress has to aim, is severely slowed down, penalized for missing, can't spam hatchets everywhere, needs to reload often.

If being oppressed is your idea of a good time, enjoy playing my share of DBD the next couple of months.
I for one will grow tired of dying because half the maps are filled with too-few line of sight blockers and 2ft loops that Trickster will hose me over game in and game out.
This community has no shame when it comes to abusing Dead by Daylight's imperfections, and I've no further interest in being the victim of poor game design.

he downs people props the quickest ive seen other than with save the best for last, the taking 2 less blades part is kinda busted, the rest of his buffs are better, instead they should of buffed his 1v4 not his 1v1 hes now the most annoying killer to go against

Trickster also has to aim. A Trickster that can't aim is going to have an abysmal chase. It requires less prediction but more tracking aim.
If Trickster were slowed down much more, he'd typically only land 1 or 2 knives.
Well no crap the full auto killer doesn't have individual shots hurt as much. Death throes implements a penalty and even cracked Huntress mains can't perform well with that add-on. If Trickster misses a lot, his DPS will go way down. Survivors are also not as penalized for falling for a red light midgame at LOS breaks.
Huntress can, in fact, spam hatchets. Trickster needs to reload often. Shall we continue?

1vs4 buffs do not really exist with killers though. 1vs4 is like freddy old swing chain add-on, it means you get stronger, the more survivors are alive which is kinda what thanatophobia and no... mobility is not 4vs1 potential, spirit & blight have mobility with phase walk/rush but its still 1vs1 centered.
Conclusively speaking, every killer is 1vs1 oriented and trickster 1vs1 is depends on tricksters aim and survivors movement in combination with blocking LOS so he has less chances to throw. He can be looped/1vs1 and was never like old legion.

Nemesis' zombies are a 1v4 'buff'. They don't help in chase, but they can passively threaten gens and provide intel.
Not that that is thematically applicable for Trickster, though. Unless he were to get deranged groupies...

I called it after I did my first match on the PTB, people were upset by current trickster, new trickster is a nightmare in a 1v1.

I already dislike to play against him now.
If PTB version of him goes live, Im not only expect trickster in every single game for a week, but also killer queues going to shitter again and staying like that for entire bloodhunt.
So I will either play only survivor for whole event, or maybe I just take a break after first 50 games vs new trickster

I also didn't compare current legion to current Trickster. I said I didn't want him to become that- ie through over the top nerfs that still don't address the issues with the kit.

I'm gonna hope for the best. I already hating going against him before the update. People can say he has counter which is true, but the autohaven maps, and maps with low tiles he will be miserable to go against. You basically have to hope you can make it to a jungle gym or pallet gym to live.

Because the devs should’ve just gave Trickster’s base power a single wall bounce (Ricochet) to increase his skill gap. That way even if he isn’t as strong a GOOD Trickster that has practiced would be interesting to play against. He isn’t tricking you by throwing straight at you. He’s only “The Trickster” when he uses his Trick Blades. By bouncing knives off of walls he can hit players in positions he normally couldn’t/fail, like the inside of the jungle gyms. He can’t do anything because he’s too slow, and survivors always swish around a corner before Trickster can land a knife.
The devs are focusing too much on making killers strong/weak instead of making their powers interesting enough for where the player’s practice makes the killer proficient. Imo the last interesting killer the devs made was Blight. After him everything became dull and boring.
