Get in your last few hours of crossplay, you probably won't be seeing it again for a while. I remember the last time the developers weren't able to get an update out on switch (also surrounding an upcoming event that we never got to play but this one we do because it's just a bloodhunt), it took them about 2 weeks to push out that update.

Don't worry though, we'll all get 10k bloodpoints and 5 rift fragments for our patience. (That one was sarcastic)

Hey devs - have you ever considered NOT breaking news like that the day before an update? Just wondering because it feels like, after reading your tweet again, that you're keeping the midchapter away from switch just for the fun of it. We all know you're not ACTUALLY going to fix these performance issues.

At least they acknowledged that people are having problems. Maybe they will fix it?

I'm so ticked that I can't play the Bloodhunt with my Switch friend.

He bought DbD on Switch because 1. Cross-progression with PC and 2. To play with me. The first seems to be postponed indefinitely and the second is being made impossible for an unknown length of time as of tomorrow. His game is just so much wasted hard drive space for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, the devs aren't keeping the update away from Switch for fun: it's so they can separate the Switch from the other platforms. They can't re-enable DC penalties if one of the platforms is still crashing, and they couldn't get the crashes on Switch fixed, so they're just removing Switch from the cross-play herd. I'll be surprised as hell if DC penalties aren't back for everyone except Switch players tomorrow.

10k bp? No, that's way too generous. I expect maybe 500 bp if we are lucky. The 5 rift fragments is a pretty accurate assumption though.

The reason we released the information is to advise Switch players not to expect an update today - so that they have advanced warning of it, which is in the interest of fairness.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone would think we'd delay an update for "fun"

Why not delay the bloodhunt out of fairness tho? I get not pushing out a patch that isn't ready and can do more damage but to push forward with the Bloodhunt is a slap in the face. The queue times are going to be excessively long when compared with cross play on during the event, massively impacting out BP gains.

I feel very bad for switch players. It was a ridiculous idea releasing it on there in the first place - if they can't get it to work properly on a PS4 how exactly did they think the switch was going to fare?

People believe a great deal of things when it comes to the way you guys handle everything involved in this game... I wouldn't find it 'difficult' to believe in the slightest... very, very believable.

It's pretty annoying. Like... I get it. Who knows why exactly they're delaying it on Switch, but yeah. RIP to my friend who plays on Switch who will be forced to take a break (she wanted a break anyways, thanks to poor performance on Switch frustrating her) and to me on the one day a week I play on Switch LMAO

I'm more annoyed about the fact that they have put off implementing cross progression between Switch and PC multiple different times. I've been waiting so long to be able to have all my leveled up survivors and killers, cosmetics, and charms available on my PC account, since I started out on Switch. I guess I also get that, because it sounds like it involves more companies than just BHVR, but it's sort of weird how they've put out approximate dates for the release and just not delivered on their word LOL

Why do you find it believable that the devs would purposefully do something that harms the game and the company? Surely there are easier ways to become unemployed and/or bankrupt.

because they don’t care about their Switch players.

Even if that were true (which it isn't), it wouldn't explain anything. If you don't care about someone, you don't go out of your way to purposefully make their lives worse, you just ignore them.

So why is the Greek Legends "event" not delayed for fairness? In 7 days the event will be over and everything related to it will not be obtainable, yet in 7 days is also the earliest we can probably expect midchapter. So switch is getting screwed out of this for what? Let's see, the rest of the community is getting 2 charms, 300k bp (we only got 50k), and 20 rift fragments over this event.
