Modding removed ? What's the problem with it?

All it was was harmless little custom skins like master cheif and LeBron James tune sqaud ( they were funny and fun too.) . Why is that a problem when a hacker was streaming for a month and replaced the report button with a pedophilia message and other major game rep ruining problems?

You're aiming the blame in the wrong direction.
You can turn Bear Traps bright pink with mods as well.
That's a no no.

there where people who were abusing it like making trapper traps neon purple so they cracked down on the modding seen which a lot of people predicted would happen eventually.

Modding could be used to make traps glow, or make the Killer or Survivors wear neon pink to make them easier to see. This is a form of cheating, and since you can't make a program that really detects safe mods from cheating mods; they all have to go.

Also I don't think their license holders agreed to have their characters modded so it was only a matter of time

I wish this game had workshop support - That way BHVR could have more of a say in what people do and we could have fun. Of course cheaters gonna cheat why ruin the fun for the legitimate players?
tl;dr - I want custom map support :<

They could've fixed the problem by adding custom skins for characters... sigh, good things never last in dbd .

because people could use it to cheat in 'safer' ways.

But it doesn't affect anything. It's not causing any problems with licensing; it isn't a legitimate character in dbd.

On a side note how is this cheating

It's removing the terror radius from your game, not theirs.

Yes,
Which makes tracking with audio much easier for a killer that relies completely on hearing.

because chase music is there for balancing reasons, not just cosmetic. It's supposed to muffle some sounds the survivor makes.

even the skins that people made gave in game advantages, its much easier to spot a survivor with a big dress, or if there model can leak out of a locker, most of these "harmless" mods are actually harmful
