Custom perk designs aren't possible anymore
Hi,
In this new patch we had:
- Implemented changes to prevent players modifying some in-game files (such as models, textures and images).
Maybe the new modding that's been going on, survivors as leatherface and whatever is not what BHVR wants, I understand that. But for years now, we've been able to use our custom perk images. Is so much fun and is so us. A lot of streamers use it as well, to match more their channels. Can this be the only think they don't take away from us?
I know it won't change much in the game. Specially for other people. But that's the point. It was there, no one had any problem, no one could even know. Was not a cheat or anything. I'm really used to using my own designs. I actually have 3 packs I designed. And I was about to create a 4th. But now I can't. Please... let us have this!

People were making it so they could see the killers very easily and traps like Hags' and Trappers objects. That's why.

Question though, is it known though that if you already have custom icons will you keep them. And also will I get EAC kicked if I don't go manually remove them?

Solution: BHVR can sell those perk skins at the shop for auric cells. People get their custom perks and BHVR profits.
I'm dead srs, BHVR, when are you going to send me a job offer?

Would be as easy for the devs as moving all the images outside the packaged files

it deleted all my files automatically. i didnt do anything.

i tried. not working. maybe a new different way. but the files are all gone. not even the original perk files are in the folder anymore. i tried moving my own there and it didnt work. i'll look again

This is very off topic, but can I ask where you got those icons and character portraits? They look amazing.

This is why I like the idea that the playerbase has for making an official workshop for people to submit their cosmetic ideas/Cosmetic mods to potentially be whitelisted in the game.
It would allow these type of cosmetics to be made while still not letting people cheat with mods.

I can direct you to the artist Amnezis on Twitter but nothing to get them properly due to forum rules. A short Google search should help though
