Game freezing when killer DCs at start of match

Playing on PC. I loaded into a match on MacMillan, but before I could take control of my character, it showed the survivor icons as all 'escaped', with 'Match Result: Escaped' briefly appearing on the top left. But instead of going to the post-game screen, my character was stuck standing in the map, with no way to exit without closing the game. Below is a screenshot, as you can see there are AFK crows flying overhead but nothing else.
