I can’t believe this needs to be said again!

and children abuse that people do that so just leave. the only people bothering are rookies and it conditions them to expect that from time to time to be faked out and adds to the already frustrating time.
If the killer goes afk for 30 seconds and everyone is in the exit area it should suck them out. it's the entity dashing their hope of being a snot rag.
1 -
Survivors can do what they want just like killers can. Why go afk when you can waste less time and just force them out?
2 -
Don't complain if you're not going to force them out. I don't know how many times this needs to be said. Killers will just sit in a corner, then complain survivors aren't leaving. lol
3 -
Or be an adult and ignore it?

I had a killer thank me once, for letting them hit me down at the exit. They said, thanks for the extra points, so they could safety pip. I don't tea bag or click flashlights at the end. But, if they're there, I'll pause to get one last hit in. If they don't act like they're going to do that, though, I just leave.
One time, when I let them hit me down, my character did a complete flip in the air, back inside the gates. I almost didn't think I'd be able to crawl out, before he could pick me up. Yikes, that was close, so I try to be more careful now with it. :)

Just force them out, they say.
11 -
Yep.
Its funny how much survivors say to force them out then do this when the killer tries to.
2 -
That's what I always tried to do. Sometimes I leave with absolutely nothing, so I'm always most sympathetic to anything that'll allow everyone to maximize the amount of points they get. But I had a killer criticize me for doing that and saw everyone on the board say they don't like it. Since killer rarely, if ever, has to deal with gaining under 10k points, the extra bit they get at the end is meaningless in the scheme of things.
2 -
Try smacking them?
2 -
Perfect example for the trolling trash that is a sizeable part of the DbD community. Your choice if you want to cater to that bunch.

*drops trap* *picks up trap repeatedly*

Hit them twice they'll literally be knocked out of the game

Exactly. I swear some people don't use their brain... I don't understand people. lol

There's an excellent reason for why I open doors: Blood Warden. Down a survivor, open doors, lob survivor on hook and enjoy the panic!
Away from this, if I have a bad game, I'll still attack until the end to a) get BP and b) hurry the game to the end so I can start a new trial.

Just agrees with the whole of this post, it annoys the hell out of me, it's like rising a white flag, I surrender, don't be a douche by staying in the game, the killer had a bad match, just leave.
5 -
Staying in the game isn't being a douche. The killer can open the gates and force the survivors out. It really isn't hard.
1 -
But we all know survs stay in the game to be douche like, why else wouldn't they leave? The Killer can force survs out yes, but if the Killer just needs a one moment break due to a bad game, survs shouldn't then be t-bagging or hauling themselves over a pallet to gain attention, the door is there just go.
6 -
Looking for totems, healing other survivors for points, looting chests, finish getting WGLF stacks, etc. Again, just open the gates and force them out. I really don't get why people have a hard time doing this.
1 -
Because the killer has no doubt had a crap game, by opening the door it's clear they want the game just to end and be done with it, you may still get some sneaky surv slipping the other way from the door just to troll and run to the other exit or loop, just to try and bug the killer some more. Just go and let them have their points, if you need to go back and do all these things at the end have to wonder if it was just a gen rushing game, do them in the beginning/middle of the game and just let the poor killer take their points and go to the next match. I just see if from when I have had a bad match or few, fustrated and a little annoyed, I just want to move on get what I got and go to the next game.
4 -
You seem to think there's this code where if you do this and that, then the other side should acknowledge and act in an appropriate way. If you open a gate and go AFK, thats on you. The match hasn't technically ended, the match is still going. Take the few seconds to force them out. Or do what the 1 guy said and go break pallets/doors if you really don't want to deal with them. This isn't changing anytime soon so strap in, put those big boy pants on and either deal with it or do something about it. A forum post isn't going to change how survivors play.

Doing those things after the gens are finished doesn't mean it was a gen rush. What if I got chased all game and didn't get much points, so I do a few stuff after the gens are done? Sure, some survivors act like asses, but I don't think most survivors do it to annoy the killer. Simply open the gates and push them out.
1 -
Killers: Don't teabag!
Survivors: Don't camp/tunnel
Killers: I'll do what I want I'm not here for you to have fun.
8 -
Pretty much.
1 -
It's obvious they do it to annoy the killer, all you see is survs at the gate, flash clicking, jumping over pallets, beckoning the killer to come etc, why else would any surv stay in the game? fair enough if someone is chased all game but one could of purely doing all the gens, point is just take what you have and go. It's hard to "push" survs out if you are been blinded or people looping and trying to take a hit, the killer wants you to go so go. It's like we all know a wraith stood invisible at a wall they wish to de pip lol but that is my opinion on the topic, I don't like it.
2 -
Actually.....................Ghost Face can teabag lol
0 -
I already gave you a lot of good reasons why survivors stay in the game. Like I already said : Some survivors do act like jerks, but you can push them out. Not all survivors are like this.
0 -
Righto.
0 -
The only reasons you have as a survivor to stick around:
Actually giving a killer 2 hits if you're healthy.
Giving ranged killers some time to practice their shots before you leave(if they noticably had issues in their aiming capabilities for example).
Vibing with the killer if the killer wants to vibe.
Any other reason and:
- you're wasting the killers time
- you're wasting your own time
- you're making survivor queue longer
Dont stick around to be a toxic #########, you're doing more harm than good.
4 -
give the benefit of the doubt! I, for example, tell you yet I only play as a survivor!
0 -
is not really what? for a killer who loses poorly, giving 2 more hits means getting more bp! so blame toxic players, instead of doubting that someone is trying to be nice!
0 -
calm down! ;)

People can do whatever they want as long as it isn't against the rules. It's not their fault it makes you mad, lol. Don't get so upset over a game
0 -
Some survivors (myself included) will hang around to do totems, loot chests, get WGLF stacks, heal for extra points, etc. I really don't care if killers don't like it. I try and get as much points as I possibly can.
0 -
Hmm the way you are responding to people is not good and very defensive clearly indicates you are one of those who will stick around just to peeve off a killer and try to justify it. Just leave. If you don't get many points in a game maybe run we're gonna live forever, prove thyself and maybe small game.
0 -
I already said I hang around for extra points. It's not my fault you guys get mad. Sorry, I'm not leaving just because it hurts your feelings. I try and get as much points as possible.
Edit: No, I don't hang around to make the killer mad, that's on him. I only BM if the killer really deserved it. I already said why I stick around. Just for the extra points.
0 -
Only reason I would stick around as a survivor is because I am not sure if the other survivors have made it safely to an exit gate. Once I've confirmed that, I don't stick around. I don't get this survivor need to teabag at the exit gate or the killers who slash you several times on the hook. Why can't we play as a community instead of a group of immature a-holes? There are other human beings on the other side of that screen.
0 -
Survivors: Hay who said you can Tbag us Ghostface!? Only we are allowed to do that when we win!
Goes both ways buddy.
0 -
Your mom was a #########.
0 -
The survivor literally CANNOT be hit in that position, it seems that neither of you have eyes or brains.
5 -
Oooh so salty. I doubt that's intended and should be reported as a bug.
0 -
Then why are you replying to a thread, that is about survivors sticking around in the exit gate doing absolutely nothing?
4 -
Because it doesn't matter? Push them out.
2 -
This.

Literally said by no one ever
2 -
This content has been removed.

Because it DOES matter. If you are doing totems, you're still at risk of being downed before escaping. If you're just sticking in the exit gate, not planning on doing anything at all even if all your teammates have escaped, that is what matters.
I gladly accept survivors to stick around if they plan on doing totems, if they plan on healing up to go for a hatch escape. But that is not where this thread is about, it's about players who, fully healthy, wait on top of the line, even if you're across the entire map untill you walked all the way over to their gate, and that's often not even good enough, as they will wait untill you can physically touch them to leave.
0 -
And? Push them out. It doesn't matter.
1 -
Ah yes, spending up to 1,5 minutes just to reach the right gate, only for survivors to leave without taking any hits. Sure, doesnt matter if that happens 70% of the time.
It does matter, people should just ######### leave.
0 -
It doesn't matter. So what if they leave without taking a hit? Either push them out or wait until they leave. Don't complain if you don't want to force them to leave.
2 -
So how about those times when I catch them and are able to pick them up and start carrying to a hook and they DC because it's 'unfair'? Slinger, Twins, even Trickster can punish survivors that should just leave when they have the chance. I can't tell you how many times people have DCed in that exact situation. That right there is complete BS.
