Why?
Why?
Why do you do this to me?
I decided to push through my dissatisfaction because of the new Tome, but I am starting to regret my decision...

Nearly everyone hates the map and outside of head popper pig, pig is no fun to play on it either as you can't really stealth on the map as her.

You got lucky and went to one of the better maps in the game. You could have gotten unlucky been sent to pallet plant & haddonfield.
9 -
RPD isn't one of the better maps in the game, its probably a contender for one of the top 5 worst maps in the game to play on as killer, just due to the sheer number of strong resources and size

racoon is one of the worst maps, for both sides...it's just 300 rooms and tons of corridors, it's disgusting from every perspective.
11 -
People brush this off but wait until you come across a trapper on this map..
6 -
This map sucks.
6 -
I got lost a couple times trying to go upstairs...Didn't even bother to use stealth.

I would be so happy to get that map.

Impossible...

I like how when I navigate around it, I have no problems finding where things are but everyone who hasn't played RE 2 or RE 3 has so many issues with it.

Omg just find the Unicorn Medal in the S.T.A.R.S. Office, use it to get the Spade Key (it says Precinct Key before you examine it) and start locking doors. Not that hard.................

This. Kids you should have done your homework and played that awesome rework.
No sippy for y'all at all.
2 -
Also don't forget to search the far left desk 50 times on the original game...
2 -
Shhhh don't tell them about the hidden "RECRUIT" perk......

I have no idea what you 2 are talking about, but feel free to continue.

My condolences. I feel your pain.

Wait you guys don't immediately crash if you interact with basically anything on this map?

It is made somewhat annoying due to not being able to really "learn" that map well enough in game. Considering I don't get it very often in the usual map rotation, I still haven't gotten all the ins and outs of it from the few trials spent there. Especially since it is a really big map, so you don't have the time to carefully explore it well during a trial if you still want to somewhat play the game at the same time.
Add to that frequently ppl disconnecting straight on loading into that map, I'd actually like more trials on it. Just for the benefit of having a better knowledge of it. I reserve judgment on it till I got a somewhat solid impression and not just guesswork.

Oooooof. Blight must play like an M1 killer with no ability on RPD.
I sometimes wonder if Nemesis was the only killer they tested on RPD.
1 -
General, Think of it this way.
Survivors will panic trying to get their traps off haha
1 -
See if you can find someone to do a custom match with. I gave my friend a guided tour while he played killer to help him learn the layout lol
1 -
Actually, this map should be brilliant for the pig. Survivors will never be able to get their traps off in time.
1 -
They all did.
0 -
Ooof. With Blight, it must have been painful.
1 -
RNG was not on my side. Everyone got their traps off in time.
That ######### toxic Leon actually did it twice.
0 -
oh god that sounds like fun. 😂
0 -
It would've been...if RNG was on my side.
And guess what? It wasn't.
0 -
Pain.
0 -
Yep, that match sure was painful.
Wanna know its final result?
2 sacrifices and a DC for hatch.
0 -
I hate a DC for hatch. It just feels so scummy
0 -
And it usually is, but in this case it was the toxic bastard who disconnected, so I don't really mind.
0 -
I haven't even been able to really learn the map yet (only been on it once or twice), so I can say I honestly have no idea where you even spawned.
1 -
It's an excelent map for Pig. Traps will buy you huge time (and even a head pop) and stealth killers benefit greatly. Most loops are good for ambushes as well.

this image radiates more "i want to put my head in a brown paper bag and bludgeon myself with the blunt end of a axe" energy then words are capable of expressing

This map sucks ass for survivor too. Can't find gens to save my life, got to run the gauntlet to get a rescue, and all the hallways are easy hits. played against wraith and huntress last night on there and it just felt like the map was built for them. Wraith has the speed to traverse this ######### hole and straight line survivors (in the hallways) easy hit for Huntress.

...
This is pure human cruelty.
Disgusting.

That map is so dumb.
1 -
Yes, it is.

You got an indoor map as a stealth Killer. Plus Survivors will have issues finding Jigsaw Boxes. I see this as an absolute win!
1 -
Seriously. Id rather play haddonfield than that garbage map.

I thought I was about to get rick-rolled

someone sent me to rcpd with doc, pretty good map for him, idiots. 😂

Nice.
They sent me there as Hag, and I still killed them all.

"I sometimes wonder if Nemesis was the only killer they tested on RPD"
I can't remember who, but I saw a red post on here that said they don't do that. There was a rather large thread regarding the quality of the RPD and one of the devs replied. I can't recall specifics but the information I personally pulled from it was "we literally don't make maps with killer gameplay in mind".
I understand that me coming in here and saying "I guy I don't know maybe said a thing I can't specifically remember" ain't phat, so I'll try and find the thread, I'm fairly certain it was in the PTB discussions.

Yeah it definitely wasn't fun, lol. I did manage to win funnily enough, but it was a pretty miserable experience. @BigChapAlien21 You can kinda still use his power in chase to close the distance but if they go through any of the many doorways then it can be hard to land a hit without wasting many rushes. Of course, to add insult to injury, his power is useless for mobility. Ironically, I seem to have a lot of success with Trapper on this map. Maybe it's just because the map is new so people don't know where gens spawn. Still, there are many, MANY spots you can trap which force Survivors into tricky spots. Either they get trapped (maybe they didn't see it), they intentionally take a hit and run away (Which they cannot do if they're injured) or they dead hard through it (This is the only 'winning' scenario for them but at least they do have to give up their exhaustion perk, still kinda stupid though). I guess only time will tell how this map fairs for some killers.

I can imagine it would be good for Trapper. I played a game of Pyramid Head on this map and it was pretty devastating for the survivors. Some trails that were practically unavoidable for them, being able to use Punishment through walls and cover multiple rooms.
It seems paradoxical, because for a map as large as RPD, you would think a killer with no map pressure like PH would struggle, but it seems the map is just as much a struggle for survivors at the moment.

I'm enjoying the map a lot as Doctor.
