Should there be more stealth in DBD?
We are not talking about cases when survivors can hide forever, we are talking about stressing out the horror genre of DBD, to make it a little more horror/stealth oriented instead of being almost solely action/chase oriented as it is the case now.

I play both sides and there are plenty of perks and things you can do to be stealthy. Also, stealthy games are usualy boring and unfun to play (at least for the Killer) and super slow games where nothing is happening is a waste of both sides time.

I play them equaly and stealth is uninteresting for me.

I hate when a poll poll just assumes you play mostly either one role or the other.
I enjoy stealth for the most part so long as it's not being used to just stall out a match and prolong the inevitable. The classic "two survivors left both hiding until one is found" scenario just absolutely isn't fun especially as a killer, and there should be a mechanic equivalent to idleness crows if a chase hasn't been initiated and no significant generator progress has been made after X minutes / seconds. This is just something that should be done now but most definitely if the devs ever decide to incorporate more avenues / options for a survivor to be stealthy so that it is not used for gimmicky / stalling purposes.
So long as that possibility is ruled out and survivors can't just stall out a match without being found at all I'm more than open to different ideas for being able to be stealthy. If the devs say wanted survivors to have the ability to hide in chests, or the ability to go prone and lie flat on the ground (to compensate a killer would just flat out be able to pick them up if they get caught like this), or a button that allows survivors to press themselves up against walls or crouch against short loops, I'd be pretty interested to see these ideas tested out.
Most new gameplay mechanics that would allow the opportunity to shift up how Dead By Daylight is played is more than welcome in my opinion. I think the last significant thing they did to the base game was the Endgame Collapse and that was 2 years ago now in 2019. We've got "boon totems" coming which will add the totem component for survivors I guess, but we haven't heard anything about that in a while and it wouldn't be the first time the devs said they were looking into something and then quietly and mysteriously dropped it somewhere along the way cough pregame collapse cough.

While being stealthy at times can be fun, it can be fairly boring for both sides, the only way I see stealth working if its in a separate game mode where its survive as long as possible

I wouldn't mind more stealth if there were some interesting mechanics around it. Thinking of something like Until Dawn/Man of Medan where while hiding, you have some kind of quick time events that get progressively more difficult in order to stay quiet/hidden when the killer is close.

I don't wish more stealth on either role.

I play with 1-2 friends at any given time, and the role I prefer is stealthy gen rusher. I build my character around evading the killers detection, or escaping when the killer does find me, and get gens done as fast as possible. The looping and rescuing I leave to my friends.
So basically yes, I would love more stealth elements!

That's my playstyle too, I do gens and evade the killer if I can. It's fun for me to outplay the killer using stealth, it requires more brain to outsmart the killer this way than using looping. Looping is the last resort.

There are others like me =O I gotta be honest, when I saw someone replied to me on this, my first thought was "OH BOY...here goes someone telling me I suck...I don't play the game right...etc..."...but then here you are you beautiful creature!

I don't think there should be more stealth, it's in a good spot. There is a time and a place for being stealthy.
Honestly as a killer I find it really boring if I go from gen to gen to gen and every survivor is immersing. I much prefer chases, even if the survivor is a good looper. I really don't like wasting time looking for a survivor in areas they may have left when I arrived. Chases are the fun part of the game, hide and seek is fine but should not be more prominent or rewarding than it already is.
