Question about Kate's Twin Ribbons Head

Was the change to her hair color on purpose? It went from a nice gradiented silver/white to flat white with almost no shading except abrupt and choppy black at the root.

I ask because the color it was before was so gorgeous and fit the gothic-cute look she has in the outfit, but now it just looks out of place, way too vibrant next to her darker looking clothes.

    I'd kill for a recolor of this head with a natural hair color and less makeup. I never cared for the original look. The update made it look a little better imo, but I dislike the precedence of making significant changes to cosmetics that were purchased with cells.

    For me, the changes to the Star Seeker head were a downgrade. They removed the overdrawn makeup around her lips from the original and made it look like just a recolor of her default head.

    Also, not a very popular one, but the "dirty blonde" ponytail is now just brown...

    that's my problem, like i spent so much time grinding for the outfit only for it to be ruined for me now because of significant changes. sigh ):
