What updates/content did I miss?

Hi there, everyone!

I've been down and out with health issues and am only now being able to check the DbD forum/Twitter from my phone for the first time in about two and a half weeks. While I know the information is here I also know that I can count on you lovely people to answer some questions and get me back up to speed! I appreciate you in advance! 😊

I see that there is a Grecian mythos inspired bit of content. Has there been anything else interesting/good lately? Did we get the character graphics overhaul yet? Has there been any major gameplay balance/changes with any updates? How about for matchmaking?

Thank you anyone who answers for humoring me. I am always a bit slow on the uptake after being in the hospital. I wish you all a great weekend and happy gaming! <3

    Okay so basically we had the 5.1.0 Midchapter patch, which brought some changes to Trickster, overhauled character appearances, and some new skins. You should be able to find the patch notes on twitter.

    Edit: Also we have changes to pallets + grabs, and some slightly better optimisation across the board though there are reports of stuttering on lower end machines and last-gen consoles still.

    Also we have a BloodHunt going on for the weekend

    First of all I hope you're feeling a bit better now, and I'm glad you're atleast healthy enough to come onto the forums ^^

    As for changes, there is currently a bloodhunt (2x bp) active up until Monday I believe. I'm unaware if you'll be able to participate in it or not but if you can its here.

    The survivors have recieved visual reworks now, however none were changed from the PTB.

    I dont know if this change was added last update or not but Keys cant open hatch when they have no charges now.

    Console has reportedly been fixed unless you're a switch player.

    Pallets and grabs have been slightly changed to make them more consistent. They work well as long as you have good ping.

    And finally, the main thing, Trickster got buffed. 6 knives for a hit instead of 8, Main Event activates quicker but you need 30 knives, and as a bit of a nerf, laceration decay starts at 10 seconds and he know only has 44 knives.

    The character model updates went live for the game but not for the PTB? That surprises me, I thought that the PTB always got things first. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding.

    That's great about grabs and timing - is this part of the game shifting to server sided decisions instead of being Killer sided? The changes to Trickster also sound fantastic, we need more of him in the game so hopefully this drives players to pick him back up and give him another chance.

    My bad about the character model thing. They were in the PTB, just nothing from the PTB changed when it went live despite a lot of people criticising one or two characters.

    The grabs are in a current "phase" per se right now. The first step they're doing right now is to make it so rather than you just doing a lil air grab and grabbing onto nothing, you now automatically hit a survivor and it counts towards grab challenges. They'll soon work on a solution to make grabs work entirely as far as I'm aware.

    Trickster, as glad as he got buffed, I think he needed them elsewhere. He was already great in the 1 v 1 aspect while bad in the 1 v 4 aspect and this unfortunately only makes it more so. But hey a buffs a buff ig.
