Title.
how would you rework it? Or is it fine the way it is?

Having one perk less in the Bloodweb when leveling killers would be a fantastic change to the perk.

MONSTROUS SHRINE
- When a Survivor unhooks another Survivor from a basement hook while you're more than 32 metres away from that hooked Survivor, get a Token, for every Token get a 25% stackable bonus to bloodpoints in the Sacrifice category.
- Awarded post Trial.
Just make it a bonus bloodpoint Perk for not camping.
2 -
I like this. What the cap be for the tokens??
1 -
None, the more Survivors you hook, the more Bloodpoints you get, up to
300%~200% more bloodpoints in that category if you manage to hook everybody in the basement and let them unhook safely.EDIT: Wrong math, I forgot that Survivors will probably not be able to unhook themselves at their last hook.
0 -
So... at most, earn 4k extra BP for not camping the basement?
EDIT: Maths never were my strong suit. I had the numbers for the Sacrifice BP offering in mind.
25% x 4 = 100%, or another 8K if maxed out.

That would at MOST offer an extra 4k BPs... assuming you dont cap out on that category anyway. Typically perks that offer a BP boost to a specific category do so as a secondary effect.

There is no cap, the more Survivors you hook and let other Survivors unhook safely, the more Bloodpoints you get.
0 -
There can only be at maximum 8 unhooks per game, meaning 200%. This is also completely pointless since at that point, you're sacrafice category wouldn't benefit THAT much. The more hooks you score, the closer you are to maxing out anyway and the less tokens you would need to do so.
0 -
There is a hardcap on every category of 8k. Even if someone scores 8K BPs before the perk kicks in and you get 10000 tokens on the perk... the perk wouldnt give you any more points than the maximum amount (8k BPs) and in this particular situation would give 0 BPs.

So, maybe I could give it some secondary effect.
Maybe the further you get, the faster the Survivor get's sacrificed.
Not really sure.

That's why I said it gives bloodpoints post trial, like BBQ.

Ok so, with that, and tokens not being unique to survivors, that would at most be:
25% per token X max 8 unhooks = 200% ADDITIONAL BP.
200%, meaning 16k bonus BP if completely maxed out, + the normal 8k = 24k from Sacrifice alone.

You score tokens when survivors unhook, but the perk drives hooked survivors to be sacrificed faster. This would cause the perk to work against itself on the gaining tokens front since it would cause survivors to go into stage 2 or die before they can get unhooked. Not trying to be a pain, just pointing out the glaring flaw I'm seeing.

If you are using this perk then the basement hooks and 3 random hooks are converted into shrine hooks. These have a different appearance compared to the other hooks.
Survivors on shrine hooks cannot try to kobe and as long as a surv is hanging on a shrine hook (the killer must be atleast 24m away from this hook) the closest 2 gens in relation to this hook are blocked by the entity as long as the surv is hooked there.

I think that's not that bad, maybe I could increase the stackable bloodpoints per Token, because you probably won't realisticly get all Survivors in the basement, or add another effect to it.

Another random idea:
What if this perk made Basement hooks act like P-Head's cages? As in, when hooked, all hook-related don't activate.
0 -
You're right, I haven't noticed since I just made up that idea really quickly, maybe there could be a better way of doing a second effect, thank you for pointing that out!

Feel like a better idea would be to change how you gain the tokens. If you get tokens by spending time away from the basement rather than relying on survivors to rescue their teammate that is dying faster than normal... feel like that would work out abit better. Set it up similar to how stakeout gains tokens.

So the perk's entire effect would JUST be to negate stuff like BT and DS? Feel like designing a perk for camping is generally a bad move for the health of the game. It would be pretty useless for anything but playing like a complete dick with a Bubba's basement loadout or something.

It is currently past midnight for me, and I'm just spitballing.
You're completely right, though.

So maybe something like:
Monstrous Shrine
When 40/36/32 metres away from a Survivors that is hooked in the basement:
- Every second gain a Token. (The sound of gaining a Token plays when getting 10 Tokens to not be spammed)
- For each Token get a 1% stackable bloodpoint bonus in the Sacrifice category.
- The bonus bloodpoints are awarded post-trial.

Monstrous Shrine
Every time you hook a Survivor for the first time, Monstrous Shrine gains 1 Token.
While Monstrous Shrine has 1 or more Tokens, when you hit a hooked Survivor who's not on a Basement Hook, that hooked Survivor will be teleported onto a Basement Hook, consuming 1 Monstrous Shrine Token.
Idk.

Sounds dirty, just imagine Killer is camping a Survivor, you as a hero Survivor with BT go for the save and the Killer just slaps the Survivor and you just stand there while the Killer is laughing at you and then you die.
1 -
Monstrous Shrine
Twice per game when outside of 40/36/32 meters of the basement hook you can send a survivor directly to a basement hook after a 3 second interaction, survivors sent to the basement this way have their hook timers paused while the killer is in the basement and if the killer is within 12 meters of the basements entry way

MONSTROUS SHIRNE
Your fervent care of the Hooks found in the Basement has aroused The Entity's interest.
While a Survivor is on a basement hook, the Entity provides you with 15/20/25% faster Break Actions and 5/10/15% faster Vault speeds.
1 -
Monstrous Shrine:
Survivors are blind and/or oblivious while within the basement.
Reduces chances of self-unhook by 10% for each survivor still alive in the trial
1 -
The basement is already comparatively dangerous as it is. 100% guaranteeing a denial of BT & DS would just further encourage camping.

Inspired by the yellow glyph challenge, and the recent changes to struggle progress, what if Monstrous Shrine gave survivors on basement hooks a constant series of difficult skillchecks? (More difficult than currently)
Each time a skill check is failed, the survivor loses an immediate 5% of their sacrifice timer? Additionally any failed skill check causes any remaining gens to lose 5% repair progress?
1 -
Monsterous Shrine has 4 tokens. Hook progression is increased by 5/10/15% as long as you are 32 meters away from the hooked survivor.
Could be too OP, but I've always wanted a perk like this.
0 -
Monstrous shrine should give a % debuff for gens, healing, and totems to all survivors as long as the survivor is in there.
0 -
Monstrous Shrine:
-Delete the actual effects
-If a survivor is rescued from the basement, he is afflicted by a -7% permanant debuff on every actions (1 max debuff for every survivor)
-The killer should be 24m away from the basement to activate this affect.
-Spawn a additional chest on the basement (?)
0 -
Yup, quite MONSTROUS! 😉
0 -
They should change it so that when someone is hooked in the basement the windows and pallets of that tile are blocked while someone is on that hook and for say 10 seconds afterwards. Example being shack pallet and the window would be blocked and on something like haddonfield the whole house would be blocked up
0 -
No. That will encourage camping.

Monstrous Shrine: (rework)
While in the basement, you can teleport to any generator within 4 seconds.
Effect has a cooldown of 70/65/60 seconds.
And maybe keep the debuff stuff as well or something. But that main part would be my suggestion.
0 -
Monstrous Shrine = rapid skill checks. Inspired by the yellow glyph. I agree.
1 -
It could but it would reward basement hooking.
0 -
Monstrous Shrine - Killer Perk
Highlight the Basement hooks Aura in White for 5 seconds after picking up a Survivor.
Hooking a Survivor in the Basement will cause all Generators to explode and start regressing.
- Applies an immediate 4% Progression penalty.
Sacrificing a Survivor in the Basement will cause all Survivors to be Oblivious and Exposed for 20/30/40 seconds.
0 -
Your hooks cannot be sabotaged
Sabo is a niche thing so I think it's fair to take up a perk slot to directly counter it.

Monstrous Shrine:
When carrying a survivor, a portal will appear at the top of the basement stairs that you can drop the survivor into which will automatically place them on a basement hook (so you save time and risk of them wiggling out)
When placing a survivor in the portal, any other survivors that are in the basement will scream and become exposed and exhausted for 15/20/25 seconds
