Just asking

Quick question, survivor to survivor. Why do you HAVE to bring the killer to where a person is clearly hiding and loop there, than the killer goes after them meanwhile they weren’t bad, but a good teammate. And also if a person clearly getting crouching behind a rock cause killer is there and you run to them and get them killed, do you mean to be a complete idiot? Killers see scratch marks. I’m tired of teammates who just insist on bringing the killer to me or someone else.

The only reason I can think of is they're focusing on the killer and not their surroundings. Recently I've been using Bond with Open Handed just for this reason, so I dont run the killer near a survivor.

What I absolutely hate though and cant excuse is a survivor running to a generator thats clearly being worked on.

If I do that then it's unintentional. I would never bring the killer to someone on purpose unless it's a SWF where we just meme (if I did do SWF). I wouldn't do that to the survivor that sandbagged me on purpose either because I like treating people the way I'd like to be treated.

I admit I do this but it's not intentional most of the time. Sometimes i don't know or realize a person is there.

They do it on purpose. Often they work in groups, ie "swf trolls". Since it's virtually impossible to get them banned in the game for griefing, you can't do much with that.

It's solo queue. To me anything goes.

But more importantly, if you have no hooks and I am at death hook, I'd rather he chase you than me.

I don't do it deliberately but, when I do, it's usually because:

    • I didn't see you until it was too late to change where I was running.
    • I already chained together every other structure I could, and the only safe place I have to run is the structure you're in.
    • The killer is really slow, and I thought they dropped chase, but now we're suddenly back in chase again.

I am not quick-witted enough to bring the killer to a teammate I don't like. I'm mostly just looking for pallets.

Most of the time if I do it it's accidental - I'm either running to a loop or area where gens are already done. If I see you early enough I'll try to change course but I can only do so much. I've had times where I run to a loop that a survivor decided to hide in and instead of leaving while killer is chasing me they decide to keep trying to hide in corners of the loop and I keep running into them.

There are plenty that will purposely lead killer to others, from my experience they usually are running Bond or Empathy to find other survivors so they can lose the killer. It's why if I see another survivor start running near me I leave the area instead of trying to hide.

The only reason people do that is selfishness.
