Just Successfully Dealt Damage AND Got Pallet-Stunned
Didn't the mid-chapter patch make it so the game has to choose one of the 2?

No Im pretty sure getting both is still possible, if the pallet isnt thrown at 50% before you hit survivor, you both exchange health state and pallet stun.
At least thats my understanding how it works

Nah, it is still possible to do that.

If the pallet is thrown and the server sees you hit the survivor before the pallet reaches 50% down, then you will have both the hit and the stun. If the pallet it thrown and server sees the pallet at 50% or more before it sees you hit the survivor, you may see the survivor hit on your screen, but the server will cancel the hit and just reward the stun.

Nah, they will complain until the Devs change it back. This is how Killers are.
@Topic:
It is indeed possible that both things (stun and damage) can happen, if the Survivor drops the Pallet too late. So it is still possible to lunge around a Pallet to hit a pallet-camping Survivor and if they are not fast enough (the Pallet is more than 50% down on their end, this would be "fast enough"), they still get the Hit, despite also getting the Stun.
This is still a thing.

Now will everyone stop complaining that it’s survivor sided hit validation?

One instance of it working doesn't mean every other instance of it being bullcrap is automatically ok.

Thats mostly latency issue and the server giving wrong info to the killer.

Okay, thank you all!

It’s not bullcrap. The survivor got the stun in before the killer hit them.
You shouldn’t be relying on getting hits through pallets anyway.

Is it reliable though?
At least it happens to me quite infrequently.

I think it is as reliable as it can be without causing massive queue times. All multiplayer games have this type of issue. The player pool isn't big enough to only match players with the same ping together and even then, ping fluctuates for everyone, even those with the "best" internet.
I get it sucks to see you get a hit that then gets cancelled. This could be lessened if the stun happened at the start of the pallet throw, but because of ping differences you could still have it happen where you see a hit get cancelled. But that would almost guarantee no hits occur at pallets, which I think would seem unfair for the killer player.
Survivors deal with this too, it is just more noticeable with grabs and not hits. I have been completely through a window and over a pallet before on my screen and then pulled back through or over because the server said the killer earned the grab before I was all the way through. It looks really funny getting teleported backwards into the killer's arms.

I saw a Youtube video clip where a killer hit the survivor as the survivor was throwing the pallet. The killer got stunned, but he heard the survivor scream from a hit, and he thought he downed her. But she kept running and he was confused. It was explained in the comments that with the new patch, what happened was the survivor threw the pallet before the killer hit her, so that's why he got stunned. But because of his latency, he still got a noise notification that she was hit. Did the survivor get that same noise on their end? I don't know. But yes, based off of the patch and that video, that was my understanding of what was supposed to happen so I'm confused as to what happened with you. But Shinobusk seems to have a good answer. I think the devs should clarify though.
