How to close the gap between the top %

This is a difficult question, so get as wild as you want. What possible ways could BHVR give both sides (at the highest level of play mind you) an equal chance of winning when both sides are running the same META build, strongest items, addons, etc. How do you close that gap? DO NOT bring soloQ into this because we're not talking about your average game.

Add more customization in KYF so comp dbd can balance itself differently.

I don't really think you can do that unless you built your game around what most games who build a 1v4 asymmetrical game around would do, and that is the idea that the killer is most likely going to kill every single person. The game becomes longer, the chases become more frequent, the holding M1 becomes less of the main importance, stealth becomes viable.

At the end of the day, when you're playing against 4 really good players, do you really feel like you're a killer? Or do you feel like you're constantly chasing people running away or run in a circle?

Tbh if both sides bring meta stuff, it is kind of balanced meaning 4 man SWF with meta builds and meta skills against god tier nurse with meta build. Those two are perfect for each other as both are unbeatable in normal match of average gameplay.

The thing is, DBD is a game of chance that will throw such nurse against 4 random solos or throw that SWF team against someony playing his one game of Legion in a month.

Only way to get rid of this is proper matchmaking but then, people will lose on purpose as constantly playing against each others top % meta gets boring fast.

Simply said, it's unfixable. Best way to go about it is just keep on balancing everything as we're doing now.
