When do you think the new chapter teaser will drop?
It should be sometime this month, right? Do you think it'll be this week or the next week they'll drop it? I'm actually so excited!
I'm thinking it's licensed, I know we just had a licensed one, but I have a feeling

If it's licensed then chances are we won't get a teaser (as the last licensed teaser was in 2018)
If it's original then they'll release a teaser, unless they do a licensed teaser after 3 years.

Hopefully the teaser is just a title card with some text that says like "we're taking our time to polish existing content, no new killer or survivor this chapter"

Honestly, if it's licensed, which ATM it's looking pretty likely that it will be, we probably aren't getting any sort of teaser until maybe anywhere between a day or two before the PTB, on the same day as the PTB or just outright no teaser at all. That's usually how they play ball with the licensed chapters. I know we got a teaser for the RE chapter technically a full month before the release but, that was Capcom just firmly flexing and wanting the big initial spotlight to be square on them.
I'm also just going to throw my hat in the ring and say it's most likely Candyman like everyone keeps on saying which, you've probably seen me say quite a bit the last week or so but I just don't care much for the idea. If it's revealed to be CM I'll just shrug my shoulders and go "cool, glad those asking for him got what they wanted". To be even more upfront and honest, the one and ONLY thing that is exciting to me about a CM chapter is Tony Todd, not the character he plays but just Tony himself is such a cool guy and I'd like for him to finally get his wish and see arguably his most iconic role in a video game.

I agree. I really want CM because well.. I can't seem to click with anyone other than LF and GF, I'm a huge fan of CM and I would absolutely love to main them, but Tony seems super duper excited for it, especially with his interview where he leaked a small bit of info where he did some voice acting for a special project

You see, it's not that I'm firmly against the idea of CM being introduced, in fact, I liked the first film, I thought it was a good 7/10, nothing groundbreaking to me at all but I enjoyed my time watching it but other then, as I said, Tony alone I just can't get excited for the chapter. That said though, not all chapters are going to be for me and that's fine. Everyone deservers to have their wants and desires and that's why I never knock peoples wishes for chapters. If Mike wants a FNAF chapter, or Jim from across the street wants a Alien chapter then they have every right to want said chapters and I don't think they deserve to be ######### on for that. Everyone hopefully will be able to get something they can click with in this game.
Anyways, that rant aside, yeah, Tony def said some things that he shouldn't have said. The only knock against this being a CM chapter I can see is... I don't know what the legendary outfit could be for him, like, at all. The only two I can think of is either, SPOILERS, Heleen when she became a ghost at the end of the first movie or the new Candyman from the upcoming film. I'm just not sure though because we haven't seen any changes in skins from male to female or vice versa and the other one would be MAJOR spoilers for the upcoming movie. So, I just don't know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is true. However, I believe they only did that because they were part of the Resident Evil stream so they wanted something to show instead of just flat out saying "Btw, Resident Evil is coming to dbd." If they were never part of the Resident Evil stream, I highly doubt they would have released a teaser since, as @Elena said, we haven't had a licensed teaser since 2018 (not including RE's).
