It's time again for the big Chapter 21 discussion!(No, seriously, LONG discussion)

Hello everyone! To start this off, I just wanted to kick this off by saying that I hope everyone is having a nice and lovely day/night and I hope that you have the tinfoil hats ready. Also, just as a warning, we will be talking about possible cough rumors cough so, if that isn't your thing or don't want to be possibly spooled then I understand and just remember, this is all speculation, nothing is confirmed and keep the hype in check. So, without further ado, we're going to just jump right into this one.

THE MOVIE SECTION!

Going immediately into movies, I think we all know what has to start this discussion off with.

Candyman- There's just so much evidence that is pointing right at Candyman once again. From the movie(finally) releasing this August to Tony himself spelling a little too many possible beans. Earlier this year, a fan asked Tony himself on when we could possible see Candyman come a video game and Tony replied with simply "Just #wait", the initial tweet asking about a possible game collab has since been deleted it seems. He also revealed before that he's recorded voice lines for a big upcoming project in the works for a game which has yet to have been released to my knowledge. The only knock against this is honestly the rumors right now about the killer having a legendary skin and I just can't see who Candyman would turn into. Possibly Helen but we haven't had any male to female or vice versa skins yet or we could see a possible CM2021 skin but that would be major spoilers, either way, that's just a small knock. I will post the discussed tweet below.

Pennywise/IT- As we all know, there's always a lot of steam behind it getting into DBD. It's a huge series and one who's even on MCote's personal list. We know that BHVR has tried to acquire the license before but was denied and told "not at this point in time, maybe in the future" and, Stephen King himself is very protective of his franchise. That said though, with Pennywise slowly making more appearances outside of King's work, with the most recent appearance being in the new Space Jam film, there could be a possibility that the IP holders for IT have begun to open up more. Going back to the recent rumors this could lead in favor of Pennywise because you could have one very rare cosmetic that changes the appearance to something slightly different then the legendary would change it to Tim Curry's version.

Alien- Another big one that a lot has asked for(including myself) is a Alien chapter. With the recent talk that the killer will have both a very unique pallet breaking animation and picking up animation this could lead to another Demogorgon situation where there's a lot of unique new animations that have to be made to possibly fit a new skeleton rig. Sadly though, this also has a huge knock against it and it can all be summed up into one word, Disney. Not only would this chapter cost dump trucks worth of money to actually acquire but Disney is known to come to you for possible collabs and not the other way around and seeing as how there's already a new game coming out, I'm just not certain DBD is on the house of Mouse's radar.

THE VIDEO GAME SECTION!

FNAF- On the other spectrum, we have games and to start it off let's get the hot topic done first. FNAF is a gigantic franchise, however, there's one BIG knock against it currently, the creator himself said that there would be no collabs this year. That said though, he has been known to turn things around and go the complete opposite way multiple times. He even already went back on his "no collabs" statement this year by having a big YouTuber known as Dawko show of his new brand known as HEX to, wouldn't you know it, be having a crossover with FNAF for plushies. Too add onto this, the anniversary of FNAF is right around the corner on August 8th so, they might want to do something big for the series as a celebration.

Dead Space- Something that has sparked up quite a bit as of recently is a Dead Space Chapter due to the remake being revealed and, while it might become likely for the future, it just doesn't seem like the right move as of now. I feel as though if we do get a DS chapter in the future, it'll be around the time the remake is being released like what happened with RE. Not to mention there was a recent leak that happened from a code reselling website that "clamied" it was a real thing that later was turned out to be faked and they took speculation as confirmation.

I'll just end it off here because it seems as though movies and games are the main two BHVR have been seeking out as of late. Now, what I personally believe it we are might end up with a movie license seeing as how we already got arguably the biggest horror gaming series into DBD with the anniversary chapter. Adding onto that, I feel as though the top three candidates right now are probably Candyman, Pennywise and with a TINY chance of possible FNAF due to us already getting our VG Chapter. All this said though we could end up with a original chapter but, as it stands this is what we have to go off of but, always remember to just keep that hype in check and even if you don't get what you want this time, there's always later down the road and just try to remain positive for those that got their wish. Be lovely lovely individuals and catch you on the flipside! :)

Why not Chucky? It is also another Slasher available at a good time.

I'm kind of wishing it was an original chapter, tbh. We're long overdue for a pirate themed killer, or some kind of evil robot/AI.

Original characters are more interesting imo. Vampire, Werewolf, Aquatic like Swamp Thing are in my top picks. Robot is intesteting though!

Aw #########, I honestly forgot about Chucky. You are correct though, Chucky has his best shot at the moment then he ever has due to the TV series coming soonish.

Same here, speculation time is always a lot of fun to talk about. :)

Even though I personally do prefer the licensed content I most certainly enjoy their original stuff as well and understand why others prefer them. They are allowed to go 100% wild with what their powers could be and plus, the big bonus is getting them for free which is always a huge plus. Plus, yeah, it would be cool to get some kind of skeleton/undead pirate for a killer.

I literally think a lot about Chucky lately, I think he may turn out to be the next killer for some silly theory with the new legendary skin of the next killer.

Look, think that if it is Chucky, we may have the scarred version as the base skin, the very rare skin of 1080 auric cells, it can be a classic Chucky or a shattered Chucky as in Child's Play 2 and Child's Play 3. The legendary It could be Tiffany or Buddi. That is my first choice.

The 2nd option for me is that it could be Pennywise, as there is not so much information and since I did not see Space Jam in the cinema, the base skin could be the current Pennywise, the very rare one could be Pennywise with teeth and terrifying and the legendary like Tim Cury's Pennywise, I really doubt it's him.

The 3rd option for me is Candyman. I think he can become obvious but I am in doubt, because he would receive furs if he always wears the same outfit, he is just like Freddy.

The 4th option could be Dead Space, but since I have never played that series of games, I can't know for sure if it can be him or not.

The 5th option would be Fnaf, I think that with what happened with Scott Cawthon I much doubt, who is currently running the FNAF franchise? but a hypothetical legendary skin could be Freddy Fazbear or Foxy, I doubt.

The 6th option for me could be Alien, Xenomorph to be exact, but since it is such a special license, it deserves to be on an anniversary.

The 7th option is that it is Jason. According to Almo, the new killer breaks pallets with a special ability and Jason does that, he is known as Rage, his very rare skin would be based on a Classic Jason or a Zombie Jason depending on which version they want to be based on, but I would bet on Uber Jason, the legendary I don't know exactly, but it could be an option.

From these options, rule out FNAF, Alien, and Jason. Because they are very large licenses that it is necessary to take to the anniversary. Hellraiser could be one more option in the next chapter.

But it will be necessary to see, I go with Candyman and Chucky as the 2 possible licenses of the next chapter.

I still think it's too early to be thinking about this.

I don't think candyman is as likely as people think, remember the roadmaps for behavior are planned way in advance and the candyman movie was rescheduled several times so it was kinda unclear for a while when exactly it was coming out and that means behavior wouldn't know when it was officially coming out either to release the chapter with the release of the movie. Considering what a mess the area of time when the nightmare on elm street and leatherface chapters were and the problems which led to two weak messes of killers that both needing a strong buff and the other a complete rework and kate being shelved all the way to clown's chapter I would think behavior wouldn't want to do the license until they knew for absolute sure when the candyman movie was coming out which was not announced until october of 2020 which I think cutting it too close for it to be chapter 21. I think we'll get him next year almost for sure though.

As for the actual chapter not sure, I don't think alien since it's disney and disney is awful. I still don't think chucky works for DBD, Pennywise is a possibility I think. Pinhead is also possible but idfk what the legendary could be? I think there are other cenobites so could be that? Dracula from castlevania I think also could be likely since they could have grabbed while asking capcom for RE and the netflix series finished fairly recently. However what I think is also very possible is it's an original chapter and someone had a cool ultra rare cosmetic idea for it and they went with it.

Actually because of all the delays I think it's very possible they've simply been sitting on the licence for a while. The movie was suppose to release back in June originally. BHVR could have looked into getting the licence way before then which would be where Tony's march tweet comes in. Considering how buggy Blight and to a much higher degree Twins were on release, I wouldn't be surprised if Candyman was going to be released in one of their spots but got pushed back due to the movie delays resulting in some extra buggy killers for a bit.

Of course that's all speculation. Who knows who we'll end up getting.

The issue with Leatherface and Freddy was Bhvr got shoved into making two characters at the same time because one contract holder didn't want to give their license while another really wanted to, so when they started working on one of them the other contractor holder relented and gave them their license.

So, Bhvr just kinda did them both

Why? It's actually been three months, the schedule for a trailer or teaser should line up around this month

I honestly never understood why people want Chucky so desperately. Not only would he require a lot of additional work, due to his diminished size (and if all the years on DbD have taught us something, is that BHVR tends to do only the strict necessary), but I find him to be pretty laughable, to be "iconic". It's like the worst killer, supernatural or not, if you ask me. No disrespect to his fans, of course, but he just doesn't have anything remotely close to being fascinating, especially if you think of other possibilities like a Xenomorph, Pinhead, Jason and Pennywise, to name a few.

I feel like it could either be Candyman or Chucky because they both have things coming out soon.

I think it's Chucky. New TV show coming out, he'd fit the cosmetics well and it'd be a very unusual killer to have in dbd.

Yeah, the more I think about it the more it's looking like it could possibly be like three or four options. Personally I think the main three are Candyman, Chucky and Alien. Candyman due to everything that is going on with him atm, Chucky has a TV series coming out eventually and Alien because of the whole new unique pallet breaking animations and picking up animation plus there's a new game coming out so maybe they'd want to cross promote but, as I said, that could go the complete opposite way and ummm, Disney.

The PTB supposedly comes out August 17th so not too early really.
