Meg being in the Resident Evil trailer makes no sense.

It's a trailer and also Meg is not a special police agent.

Idk what Meg not being a police agent has to do with what I said.

Obviously it's part of the collaboration, it's not a big deal.

Meg is there to get rekt for our amusement

Meg is just playing a role of random victim. It's only weird because you know her name and her story. If it was unknown model you would probably didn't think about it.
And if it was for example Jill instead of Meg it would be frustrating for Jill fans to see their girl got killed in couple of seconds without a fight.

Well, who else is going to play the role of anonymous Nemesis victim? Some random person we've never seen?

If it makes sense than yes I guess.

Because it's a trailer, I wouldn't read to much into how much sense it makes. There's quite a few trailers that don't make a whole lot of sense if you read into it.

That was the last of their ammo/Entity was just dragging em into the Realm and yeeted their stuff. It's really not that deep tho, so just have fun with it!

Most trailers don't make sense for DbD's enstablished lore and are not canon anyways.

Because the lore world of DbD doesn’t adhere to the rules of the game. Narratively guns may be involved in the survivor trials. Imagine if the series was made into a movie…it would be a LOT more gen popping and pallet dropping.

it was Jill and Leon`s first time being in a Trial without them knowing, of course, they would meet other Survivors

My problem is that there is 5 survivors in that Trailer
Meg,Leon,Claire,Jill,& Chris

Favourite part of it is meg getting bodied at the start

A dumb theory of mine is that they were referencing the many Smash character trailers where Mario gets "killed" with Meg being the one considering she's one of the most iconic survivors in the game. I'm probably just overthinking though.

I thought it was someone else.

Meg is canon in RE dontchaknow

like scream i guess, he kinda just waved and killed someone

I can only assume the cinematic trailers aren’t canon. Killers do things in the trials that they cant do, like…going to a supermarket

I guess it wasn't a traditional trial, but a pathway to lead the RE gang through the Fog into the newly-shaped Realm. Meg was used to lure Nemesis after he walked into the Entity's realm- her death meant nothing as she will wake up at the campfire without any memories of this happening.

On the new resident evil game there is an easter egg where you can hear megs scream so thats probably why meg was used in the trailer

Cote said something to the effect of they consider Meg their "tough jock" character so she was chosen for the trailer to show off how strong Nemesis is.
