Taking hits near a downed survivor should award a protection hit

When you take a hit near a downed survivor you are protecting them from being picked up:

-they may have unbreakable/soul guard/no mither, thus you are buying them time to recover.

-they may have flip flop which will translate into easier wiggle once being picked up

-they may have power strugger which may activate because you distracted the killer long enough for them to recover

-the killer may start chasing you and another survivor can pick up the downed one

So, tell me, why does taking a hit near a downed survivor doesn't award a protection hit?

cuz it is suicide if u got downed you put other 2 survivor in a very bad situation even if not downed someone have to get that downed survivor and you are being chased presure is too much it is favour to killer not to survivors and only unbreakable is common other perks is not that seen that often you even should loose points

I disagree, I think it would lose its meaning if they’re already in the dying state. However, I don’t see why it can’t apply to blocking for a healthy survivor. That part has always bugged me.
