Game freezes when killer disconnects upon loading into match

Playing with friends on cross play so this occurred on pc and console.
When the game loaded in it played the music and showed the escape icons like when some disconnects in the loading screen, except the game didn’t kick us out. We were standing still where we loaded in unable to move, I waited till I got crows but the game didn’t register there was a disconnect so you’re just frozen like that indefinitely.
