SBMM Good or Terrible?
The SBMM that BHVR is trying to implement by testing said system on players, in my opinion, has made the game dreadful to play. What do you all here in the forums think, is the SBMM system good for the game or terrible?

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I don't think it's going to be implemented very well, and has the potential to make the game even more maddening at high levels. Could definitely envision switching to other killers whenever your mains gets to high MMR
On the other hand, a large portion of the community routinely points out matchmaking as being one of the biggest problems with the game. And they've been asking for better matchmaking for forever. I am constantly giving BHVR ######### for NOT listening to the community, so even if I don't personally like this, I'm glad BHVR seems to (very slowly) be implementing feedback in one area
I guess I'll just have to wait to see how it turns out, but I have very mixed feelings about it right now

From what I seen (not counting this thread) most people don’t want sbmm to be implemented. They just wanted it harder to rank up so “bad” players aren’t in red ranks. It’s heaven for survivor with sbmm but for killer. Be prepared to tunnel and proxy all for a 1-2k every game. If you try to play “fair” you’ll end up with a 0k most of the time

That apply only when you play main, on other hand when I play other killers, it is super easy.

it’s like this on most killers I play. Not just my main. If it’s “super easy” for you then you probably don’t have a high mmr what so ever. That’s not a bad thing. But once you get a high one, you’ll see what most people are talking about when they said it’s not fun. I’m all for having a few sweaty games now and then, but I don’t want them every single game. I want to be able to relax and just have fun without being stressed ya know

I have over 1k hours, always rank 1 killer, but I main few killers, so I probably have quite low elo on rest of them. That super easy games were Trapper, because I played daily,

The fact this idea is so mixed should be a red flag not to add this as it is literally splitting the player base in this thread in two. Roughly 20 / 20

Overall much better. It's challenging and fun, as well as more equal survivors to team up with, as well as stronger survivors to go against.
This does not feel to be anywhere near the mess some predicted.

Should be an "eh" option. I'm not overly excited about it, but I wouldnt call my feelings on it negative.

To clarify the reason why I think the SBMM is dreadful is that as a killer main, it's causing matches to be nothing but sweaty, every single time. It completely destroys any chance of just playing casually and any chance for survivors to learn to get better. I play all of the killers on rotation so the argument that some people keep making "just play killers you're not as good with" is null and void. I have more than 5000+ hours in the game and the killers I don't play as often, I still destroy because I know all of the tricks to get survivors to play into what I'm driving them to do (aka it's boring and unfair to the survivors). On the survivor side, SBMM is just an impossible way to gage one's skill when so many people play in SWF groups. I can't for the life of me understand why the devs or people that are championing this system, can't wrap their heads around these facts. It's a game breaking system that isn't considering all the factors this game presents.
All in all, I think implementing this SBMM system will cause killer mains to either quit the game entirely, be bored as all hell or inflate the survivor player base, causing even longer queue times. As many suggested, a tougher pip system seems like the way to go to help separate the player base in regards to skill and those who've been carried to higher ranks by playing SWFs. And as far as learning new killers? Practice them. It's what we've been doing for 5+ years without our hands being held, so why now?!

Terrible
SBMM has ruined every game I have ever loved. It makes every match the same and makes gaming more boring, predictable and mind-numbingly monotonous than working a cash register.

Please bring back rank-based matchmaking.

It would be good if it would work.
But the fact that it throws if lobby dodge, wait too long, nobody there (thats obviously kinkda ok), just makes it not work.
Maybe they can fix it and everybody is happy or not.

They need to use a system that is based on bloodpoints and stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
They already dish out points to the best players, why they aren't leveraging the in-game assets and systems is mind boggling. They'd rather stir controversy and make poor choices than make an eloquent and intelligent decision.
