Is it fun to play against killer which you only stomp?
I see some people say that if there would be MMR they would only play against S-rank killer. But doesnt that mean that the survivor is good enough that other killer cannot win against them? So whats the point? Isnt it boring to win when you know the other player has a disadvantage?

Maybe, but People like winning whereas People don't like losing. So, when something is introduced that makes it harder to win then that upsets people. There is also a potential lack of variety in Killers to play against which could make things boring for top level players. Only a small handful of Killers are actually viable against good Survivor teams (Mainly Nurse, Spirit and maybe Blight). This means of course that the High MMR Killers are only going to play those Killers because if they played anyone else, it'd be a guaranteed loss. I don't think there'd be as many complaints in this regard if most of the Killer roster stood a chance against good Survivor teams. As of right now though, most Killers cannot compete with good Survivors. This isn't necessarily a bad thing considering the casual nature of the game but it obviously poses a problem for High MMR play.

In theory good survivor could handycap themself and lower their ratings. (No items/perks etc.)
And i dont understand why they need killer variety. Good survivor play the same against almost every weak killer. Whats the difference between predropping pallets against Myers, Legion, Pig etc. Its the same gameplay.

The problem is that S rank killers are S rank specifically because they completely ignore the defenses of the Survivor. Played properly, there's literally nothing you can do against them.
So your skills at the most fun part of the game are totally irrelevant.

But against every other killer i can just drop pallets and im safe. So my skill doesnt matter. Looping is only hard if you take risks bc you know your teammates take forever for 5 gens.

I mean.. huntress, trickster, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Doctor, and Demo don't have problems with pallets.
They're meant to be a defense?

Where was the skill at for survivor's in the first place when playing against non S-tier killer? All survivor gameplay really is, is feeding off of information to counter a killer which really isn't skill. It's like taking a open book test and getting happy that you passed (escaped) or getting mad that you failed (died)

And gen are so fast that those killer need to tunnel and slug to be able to have a chance on the highest level. Damn those killer are overpower

Survivor takes no skill until they go against a killer where their skill doesn't matter.
Aight.

Y'know, I'm glad that's what you managed to take away from that.
1 -
Idk. Do you run into a deadzone against those killer or do you run to a pallet?
You can certainly dont play as braindead against some killer then others, but you can still delay chases enough that gens get done before you are dead.
0 -
You run to a pallet because them and windows are literally your only defense.
Gen speeds are a problem, but barring dumb maps and ridiculously safe pallets you can mindgame/killer power your way through most of them.
1 -
Yh so this killer have a problem with pallets. And yh i know it depends on the pallet.
You can mindgame a jungle gym. Most of the time its still better to break the pallet. So if i can get a hit with my power on a pallet, but it takes too much time, its not viable.
The problem is not getting a down. Its about the time you need for it.
1 -
Again, gen speeds are a problem, but there's generally things you can do against pallets. Everyone's skill matters there.
Unless it's a god pallet or you're a Nurse/spirit.

I actually feel kinda bad when I stomp a killer. So no. What I find fun is throughout the whole match; if it was a tight match, both sides pressuring the other even if I lose, those games that are always tight are the best.

I've said this already, high end MMR only benefits survivors, it will do nothing for killers but make each and every game extremely sweaty and stressful.
In high MMR every survivor will know how to run and loop, so it doesn't matter what survivor gets found first, you know you can rely on them to waste enough time to allow the other 3 to pop their gens in 1 chase. Survivors will be escaping way, way more than they will be losing.
Killer will literally having to be sweating their asses off and for what? The game will devolve into a slugging and infectious freight meta at high MMR because you will not have the time to down, pick up, and hook survivors for kills. So there will be a ton of slugging to try and combat the speed of the games.
MMR is not needed.

I do not really think so. I think S-tier killers are killers where their counter-play is not clear and not 100% automated. Those killers give equal opportunity for killer to make a good play and revolve on survivor outwitting the killer.
Of course, there is more chance for the killer in the individual chase to get hits, so its more like 75-25 chase for killer, but the killer is one player where as survivor is group of 4. The chases need to be killer sided for the killer to realistically achieve 3 hook condition and get 12 hooks.
those killers have problems with pallets. if you have to kick/break certain pallets to hit the survivor, than those killer have problems with the chase. there is difference between defense and immortality. God pallets and safe pallets are immortality. unsafe/fair pallets are defense.

It eventually gets boring for some people, but people generally still like to win cause it makes them feel good. Most people will not care if every game is easy, especially if they are having fun with friends.
I love competition, but I have much more fun playing duos with a friend then playing solo just due to the frustrations of all random teammates. Eventually, escaping almost every game gets boring and I switch back to killer, but not everyone is like that or ones to be competitive the majority of the time.

I disagree with this. I'm a high MMR killer and when MMR is on is the only time I feel even remotely challenged. And even verses good teams I can still snowball to a win. My matches today have been two 4ks and 1 2k (On Lery's with Blight) so that was more the map than the survivors, though the survivors weren't bad at all.
MMR is good for killer for the following reasons. For killers who main, like I do. It allows me to change up my killer to Clown or Trapper and still have a fun and fair game.
When using my Main I get properly challenging games.
And it means fewer games that are complete stomps one way or the other, at least that's been my experience with it so far.
This is soooo much better.

If dropping a pallet buys you 10-30 seconds and there are 15+ pallets on a map you get 150-450 seconds of extra time. Survivors(solo) need to complete 80 * 5 = 400 seconds of gen time. How does the math work out for non mobile killers if you assume your other teammates are good and prioritizing doing gens? Also those killers still have huge problems with pallets.

You can do something against a god pallet. Destroy it. Destroying a pallet is most of the time the best play, even if you could play around a pallet and get maybe a hit. You only shouldnt break the pallet if the chance is high that you get a hit. Otherwise its not worth it to try timewise.
What i want to say is that there a many pallets where you can outplay the survivor but the chance is higher that the survivor outplays you. So you get only a hit bc the survivor played worse than you. If you both would be equally skilled the survivor would win more often and that takes you too much time.
And for gen speeds: i dont like a flat time increase but changes to the early game, gen kicking, base regression would be good. Changes shouldnt make it worse for lower skill players and S-tier killer shouldnt get more oppressive.

My friends and I feel bad when it's obvious the killer is a baby and at the end usually try and get the killer to hook half of us and suicide so least they get something out of the match

I agree. MMR isn't going to be fun at the higher skill levels for both sides. The game isn't even based around skilled players it's based around casuals which only makes it worse.
0 -
And no MMR only benefits Killers. All those "skittles" matches you've had for years has you boosted. You can slug and run infectious fright, but you are right, if you do that, then that's all you'll be able to do. My suggestion is play for fun and let your MMR drop.

That's true but it's not necessarily their fault. It's the Devs fault that holding W and pre-dropping pallets is so effective. The players are just taking advantage of that. Of course, this does in turn lead back to the issue of not enough Killers being viable against high MMR Survivors. If each Killer was buffed to have some tool to counter holding W then this wouldn't be as much of an issue but I honestly can't see the Devs going to all that effort so we're stuck back at square one.

I agree. Overall though, MMR will probably be a good thing for the average player. Matches will feel more fair and games where either side stomps the other will hopefully become much rarer. Content creators will probably suffer the most. Survivor content creators will likely be ok because it's still possible to play without the meta and win as long as you and your teammates are good. Killer content creators will probably suffer hard though.
I suppose this all just stems back to the fact that its simply not possible to even consider 12 Hooking against even semi-decent teams. So of course, High MMR is likely going to be a huge mishmash of tunnelling, slugging and camping (Which people typically don't enjoy). Ironically, if playing nice and 12 hooking became a somewhat viable strategy then MMR might just be a net benefit for the whole community. The Devs wouldn't do that though so I guess we're stuck in a situation where most players will be fine but the best players will take a hit.

Yh its not their fault. Im also doing it when im on deadhook or it is the endgame. And im not doing it always bc in solo que its not enough for 5 gens most of the time and im confident that i can loop the killer without it.

They probably need something to show that you are high mmr. So streamer can prove that they are good player. Instead of winstreaks streamer could go for a high mmr rating.

"S Rank killers"
Ruin, Undying, Pop, Corrupt/ Tinkerer.
Training wheels activated.

Discord BT dh ds ub i can do that too...

Fair enough.
I don't that'd be much consolation for content creators like Otz. Besides, we aren't shown our MMR anyways right? So they wouldn't know if they're even on the high end of MMR or not.
0 -
Yh they dont want to show it. The devs said maybe in the future in a Q&A. And i think it would be really important.
But if content creators are important to the devs, they need to set a limit to matchmaking anyway. Matchmaking simulator stream is not a good promotion. So bc there are not enough people at high level, you would get weaker opponents sometimes, bc the matchmaking would prioritize time over rating.

BT: Imagine saving my teammate safely from tunnelers.
Unbreakable - DS: Imagine protecting myself from tunnelers. DS is literally up to killer, can't do anything to progress the game.
I didn't know that discord is a perk btw lol.
More slowdowns cause i can't kill anyone without them :)
I need free regression without doing anything. My training wheels.

In my experience, we don't always stomp any Killers.
SKILLED Killers can stomp solo Survivor teams even using Killers like Legion and Trapper, (emphasis on skilled).

Yh not everyone is high MMR. That was not the question. Solo survivor teams with random teammates and 4 good solo survivor is a difference.
