Deactivation of Rank Visibility, Good or Bad?
When I started DbD before, I recognized that in the end screen the ranks of players were missing:
That made me think what purpose this serves. I couldn't find anything in the newest Patchnotes, so I think they just made it invisible so noone could complain about the different Ranks that come together with SWFs.
I really think that this will lead to more reports because newer players can't tell if you play against a high rank or if that guy is just hacking. And now I'm curious what good or bad things could lead from this change

I don't care if it means matches are more fair and that my opponent isn't way above or below me to where I'll get curb stomped at 5 gens or deal out the curb stomping. I just want fun and fair matches.

I don't think they changed ranking, else there would be an announcement.
one good start towards fair ranking would be a max rank difference So if you are a Rank 15 surv, you might be only able to play in an SWF where noone is below Rank 13. Sure there are smurfers but this will definitely reduce the amount of unfair SWFs

Just gonna leave you with this.

Ah nice, I don't use Twitter, so thank you

Even when you could see rank, there wasn't much you could do with it unless you like personally collecting stats. It's good because I can pretend I went against top tier red ranks every match.

Just ask others after the match if you can.

That would suck because you wouldn't be able to get new friends into DBD

They don't want to admit they don't know how to fix match making so they erased ranks so nobody will complain

Pretty much this. It's also the reason why their MMR is hidden: they don't want people to find out it doesn't actually work.

Ranks showing up was one of the major issues since the first SBMM test. People kept posting post-match ranks as anecdotal evidence that SBMM is fundamentally flawed.

I wouldn't mind if we couldn't see our own ranks except on the 13th. I think it would do wonders for people's mentality with this game.

No more hearing: "OMG you're rank 1 and [insert their interpretation of my gameplay], so garbage!" after they die and wait until Post-Game chat
Sounds pretty good to me

I think it's a really good idea. The past few tests everybody complained how they were getting survivors of different ranks. That's literally the point of MMR lol it's supposed to be a different matchmaking system if people were complaining about not getting red ranks then they could just stay with the old system which everyone agrees sucks.

They should disclose ratings instead of ranks on end screen.

BUT they never did. I never understand why they keep their full system hidden. I think they should at least brief their SBMM algorithm or display rating.
