My experience with mmr
When i play solo survivor its better i stop expecting to die on first hook and thing like that and this feel great. I know when the test is over im going to miss the good game i had as a survivor.
For killer its a different story the first day i had a lot of map offering in my game. Today i played more and the experience was worse if i did not get a map offering i was dealing with key and bnp. I probably lost 35 game in my last 40 game and i still get good survivor. All those lost and i still have the same mmr i know it because i face the same survivor after 7 lost in a row.
The way the game is balance if they put the mmr in i really think killer will leave the game its really not enjoyable. Maybe i just need to stop playing the killer i like and learn spirit. I really hope the dev change their mind for the mmr.

Here's an alternative view on mmr, and before I go into it I do feel all your points are extremely valid.
Is it possible that, because of the ranking system prior that MMR has used to collect data over the last several months, that MMR is working as it should, but the information it is using is borked because of mismatching in the past. Therefore, people who gained high scores because of facing weaker players in the past are now facing far tougher players because their scores matched theirs, based on scoring rather than quality of opponent?
Would resetting everything to scratch and starting anew be a better way of making it more accurate in the long-term?
