Cross Platform Party Join Bug

I play on PS5 and PC and my friend is on ps4 and everytime we join each others party after a few seconds it kicks us back to the main menu and says "An Unknown error has occurred" . Only whenever we try joining when we are on different consoles, both of us have cross play enabled as well. This has been happening for over a month.
