I kinda want it to be Hellraiser now... BUT
what if this is a MASSIVE red herring? EVERYTHING could be a massive herring from them, even the flower scene and the self leaked ,,Hellraiser teaser" message.
These devs are extremly good at these things and i am still not sure if we should trust this.

As much as I'd rather have FNAF over Hellraiser, I think BHVR could get into legal trouble if they were making all these references to Hellraiser, then have it be something else. The fact that it says the teaser video is titled a Hellraiser Teaser alone is what tells me it's most likely Hellraiser.

Watch it actually be The Blob.

I think that would be a terrible decision on their part. People enjoy clue hunting and some put a lot of time/effort into it. People start getting their hopes up the closer it is to being solved. Pulling the rug out from under them with a big "HAHA none of the clues meant anything & the chapter is actually..." just wouldn't be fun for anyone. A little misdirection or clues that could have double meanings here and there is fine. But making it all pointless would just be a stupid decision.

They wouldnt get legal problems for references.
The direct ,,hellraiser" leak COULD be problematic tho.
BUT i dont think the name or the word Hellraiser is neccesary copyrighted.

it would be really fun if this chapter ends up being original tho.. xD
But yea, i get that.

At a certain point it stops being misdirection and turns into straight up lying.
It's just pinhead atp and I'm watching the movies rn to prepare. In the middle of 2 and so far no idea how this translates into dbd. It makes sense if they were in an entity like role but as a killer? Really puzzled.

I'm not a marketing expert, but it'd be the worst decision ever. Having misleading *hints*? OK.
Using what is apparently once scene from the movie for the trailer and giving "Hellraiser" the name of the file, and then, "no it's not that"? Well. No.

Doubt it unless it outright says it, and even then I don't think it is a issue to mention something, but the really hard part would be proving intent based off of vague statements.

I had a great life before seeing this.

They've literally copied a scene from the Hellraiser movie from 1987 and even put a hint to the year it's from in said scene, lol. Once it gets to this point, they don't have a tendency to pull a 180 turn on us.

That thing used to be inflicted on British children regularly, I would actually uninstall

I think it is insane that they referenced 1987 knowing that fans are hoping for FNAF. I guess it goes to show they definitely don't know what is going on in their community.
But yeah, blatantly Hellraiser. And no, they wouldn't get in legal trouble for referencing a franchise on social media. Lol. As THAT seems to be the concern for whatever reason.
