Returning DBD Player
After a pain stakingly long time, also know as 6 months. I've come back to the forums for guidance and assistance. I've recently got DBD on steam and i'm looking for any new perks, killers, map fixes, buffs/nerfs and how to counter them.
(Ps4 kept over heating, So I just switched to PC.)
Any help thats not deemed toxic would be greatly appreciated!

I have nothing useful for you, but welcome back.

If you want to make survivors miserable, play as Twins and being a slugfest.
Ruin and Undying were the most common killer perks used.
There are two new blinding flash perks that came with the Resident Evil chapter. If you play killer, Lightborn is your friend. The aura reveal it gives you is really helpful as well. One perk lets them drop a flash grenade that works like fire crackers. The other allows them to place a grenade on a gen and it will go off if you kick it and you'll have to kick it again to regress it.
Trickster is meh and has annoying music.
More bugs and a terrible new map Racoon City Police Department. You will hate it.
Claudette got a sexy new hair style.

Ya I recently came back into the game ever since the Resident Evil chapter release, but as for guidance, I probably need to look up some as well.

Oh, Wraith is the new Freddy. They gave him Windstorm base kit and all the tunneling Freddy players have switched to Wraith after Freddy got his add-ons nerfed.

no offense, but about goddamn time. God, now I see less freddies. Finally! Wraith for me should be easy to handle despite the fact I'm rusty and learning new controls. Thanks!

Wraith got buffed but not sure if that was in the last 6 months. All the maps are bright and you can't really see the fog any more again not sure if that was in the last 6 months.

Welcome back.
Nothing has changed much since then, i guess.
Resident Evil got released and brought major issues like lag spikes, crashes and map problems as well. A few maps are disabled right now due to some bugs that needs to be fixed. Léry's Memorial Institute map got a nice rework, i think they updated the textures.
Stridor and Iron will has changed, now Iron Will will stay silent 100% against Stridor. means Spirit and Nurse can't hear you even when running Stridor.
Leon and Jill brought some nice perks but these perks are mostly to blind the killer. Flash Bang and Blast Mine.
Flash Bang is used while in the chase or for the save instead of the flashlight. Blast Mine is a trap for the killer who is about to kick a gen.
When you kick a gen you are going to get blinded for a few seconds.
These days some survivors use Blast Mine and Repressed Alliance. You kick a gen, got blinded and the survivor quickly going back to the gen to activate Repressed Alliance, completly blocking you from kicking that gen for another 30 seconds or so.
If you play against Nemesis, he is anti chase. be careful when you are vaulting and where he is trying to mind game you.
He can force you to run near a zombie to hit you down, always plan ahead before the chase and look around you.

I think all the perks is basically the same meta as before.
People are just more creative with perks for certain situations.

If no one has told you this yet or you don't know,
Wraith got a buff, he is very speedy now and with his pink add on he can be insane. Be careful against him and avoid his body block.

Thanks for the tip, I recently saw thr new map and in honesty? I dont like it. Laggy, frame drop and it's killer sided instead of balanced, it gives the killer FAR too much control and easy hits with narrow hallways and long corridors. It screams 'BRIND DEAD HARD OR SPRINT BURST' which since I'm gonna max out meg, Claudy, Jake and nea? Sprint burst is on the table.

Personally I feel Lithe is better than sprint burst cause sprint burst sets off any time you run and is easy to waste.

Not much has changed, A few new killers, some perk changes and buffs here and there, but the games mostly the same as it was 6 months ago. Only difference is DS was nerfed, Some survivors look better/worse now, and we have a mildly attractive korean man as a killer.

Fair point, might use the shrine to get lithe since I'm not the biggest fan of feng min, but if I need too; bloodpoints for the blood god!

Heard about him, the trickster right? Eh. Not his biggest fan. He's rather powerful and doesn't need to mind game to spam his knifes and easily get you into the injured state. The only time he needs to mind game when he'd out of them or feels like it. I like the pressure he gives, dont like his music or his currently abilities.
