Platform found on: Xbox One S
Description of issue: When switching accounts without fully rebooting the game, the player switched to inherits the initial player's archive completion temporarily. This persists for the session, until the game is hard closed and rebooted.
Steps to reproduce:
- Boot the xbox logged in as 1 user
- Open DbD
- Complete loading to main menu
- Using the xbox side bar, switch accounts to another profile, without logging out or closing game
- On DbD, use the "Y" button prompt to relog into the game as the new profile (if this doesn't work, switch back, press Y, then switch again - this wasn't necessary 1st time, but was 2nd as cursor was frozen on switch)
- "Play as Killer" (possibly not necessary to access this way, but this was how we ran into it)
- Using the in-lobby sidebar, open the archives
- Open the current tome
- Challenge completion will appear as the previous player, not your own (this includes incomplete challenge progress like 7/8 safe unhooks)
Frequency: Reproducible on demand.
