Don't play a killer that only works in outdoor maps lol

Why couldn't it have been haddonfield?
1 -
So I should just play low tier killers like Pig? Brilliant idea

Badham is still here tho

Why would anybody celebrate the removal of content? You wanna see this game go the way of Evolve stage 2?
3 -
no play spirit works indoor and outdoor

One less map in the game is always a bad thing. Good or bad having one less of it isn't something to be celebrated, besides I'd rather get stuff like Hawkin's, the game and even the RPD over azeroth's for the 20 millionth goddamn time. I'm hoping they're able to repurpose the map into something else for the future.

No one's being personally attacked about it and I respect the fact that there are those who hate the map. I have no problem with that. What I don't like is the need for some people to openly express satisfaction about this - it's a forum, that's still their right, but what good does it do? What is the end goal of celebrating something being removed if not to laugh at those who are going to lose out on something they like, and the person making the post does not?
More to the point though, I simply don't understand why some people aren't looking at the bigger picture. If the content works, and its existence doesn't revolve a glitch or an exploit or does something to cause technical problems within the game, then the worth of that content comes down to individual, subjective enjoyment of it. Some people don't like it, but some people do. And as long as there are those that do, it is a loss - a lessening of the game - for that content to be taken away. This isn't a good thing. This does not HELP the game. This makes the game worse for some people. More importantly, it opens the door for this kind of thing to happen again, ESPECIALLY if the developers see that players are vocally supportive of it. We shouldn't be.

My favorite indoor map. :(

I understand the joy that some are feeling but making a post about that joy is provocative at the very least.

I think it was a pretty good map. Having a higher chance of getting Haddonfield and such will just be a lose lose situation.
0 -
But, I also see a higher chance for MacMillan.

I kinda am gonna miss it mainly cause extra map gone. Plus I kinda wanted to see what the updated hawkins would have looked like.

Again. If things were reversed and it was something YOU liked, I'm sure celebrating about it wouldn't necessarily make you jump for joy. It doesn't have to be Hillbilly, just used him as an example because it seems like you like him.
There are many things in this game that are not balanced, doesn't mean the flat out removal of those things is the better option. BHVR would never remove something because of "balance" issues, they would re-work it first. Which we know isn't what is happening because the map will no longer be a part of DBD. The game already suffers from not having enough maps, so it was nice to have something different to spawn in while in map rotation.
You can dislike something that is within your own right, just seems a little cringe when you celebrate about the removal of what made the game more fun for other people.

And guess what that’s fine if you wanna celebrate it. Everyone can choose to celebrate or hate something that happens in this game. I like Midwich guess what if it’s removed you can celebrate that map being removed that’s fine. Forums are here to talk about things. People celebrated DS being nerfed so was that cringe when literally 99 percent of the community celebrated?
0 -
It's clear you've made that choice.
0 -
And I’m case you missed when DS was nerfed and these forums were lit with celebration was that super cringe since it ruined the fun for some?
0 -
I've already got the achievement/trophy the map gives you so I'm good that way. It's sad to see any content go from a game even if it wasn't my favourite map losing it as an option is really too bad.

DS is still in the game, isn't it?
And since I didn't think that DS was a problem for when I play killer, yes it was pretty cringe.

I don’t mind the map. It’s not my favorite, but it’s not the worst for me. Still, I do feel bad for the “Stranger Things” fans that are losing the map that had fun with it because of the connection to the show.

I like hawkins lab, because its a very good stealth map. You can easily break line of sight and juke the killer, which with the map reworkes becomes harder and harder to do.

Between survivor-sided pallets, mmr leading eventually to 99% of games being super sweaty and the sweaty gameplay leading to more swf forming leading to a feedback loop of moar sweat and things like one of the few decent maps for slower killers and stealth play being removed you'll also see plenty of killers removing themselves to play the much more fun and polished Evil Dead game in february and should celebrate that too.

I'm extremely unhappy.
I'm praying we get a similar original remake.

Goodbye "The Underground Complex"!
You will not be missed.
0 -
Nope, I quite like Hawkins.
0 -
No. Why?
HNL was the only true option for Jumpscare Myers after the rework removed Lery's from that place. That map got too many good pallets and the gens moved away from the doors.

As much as many might hate the map, a map being disabled and DLC related things being taken off from the game are not things to be happy about.

I don't particularly care for Hawkins, but I don't like what this means for the future of other licensed maps. We could lose Midwich, RPD (lol), Springwood, Haddonfield, The Game, and whatever maps come with future licensed content.
1 -
Yes!!

Let’s hope Midwich is next

Hawkins is the best indoor map, and one of my favourite maps in general.
Why would anyone celebrate content being removed?
0 -
Yes glad it is gone. Hoping RE doesn't renew their license now.
1 -
That's just sad. Actually wishing to make the game worse.
1 -
This is some of the best news I've gotten in a while. So glad to see that map go. Here's to hoping they take down every other indoor map too.
1 -
I am okay with trading lukewarm killers to never have to play on the bad maps. Not gonna pretend that I am upset about it.
Sucks for people that like it though.
0 -
Because that content gave me an unenjoyable experience.
1 -
Why? It might be plain shift+w for Survivors but there are maps which are definitely worse (RPD, Haddonfield, swamp, the Game (for m1 killers), red forest or Ormond.
