I am so sad about the removal of Stranger Things in DBD...
And I don't even know whom to hate now: developers or Netflix...
I am a fan of the TV-Show, I've watched it before it was added into this game. Doesn't matter if I like or hate the map, I liked it as a fan and losing it is very sad overall...
This is also sad for the players who can be new in the future. Like they watch the videos, but when they buy the game, the content is gone. Or when they see some veteran playing as Demo, they liked it but can't access it anymore...
My suggestion would be very simple: skip one of the new DLC into re"introducing" this content as your completely own. Of course you can change the icons, change everything. The perfect idea would be making it somewhat futuristic. Killer can be something futuristic like creating portals on ground, propelling themselves with special attack. Survivor can be only ONE but with 6 teachable perks, like 2 on level 30, 2 on level 35 and 2 on level 40 Bloodweb. The map (since it's a closed one) can be rebuilt into something like UFO-base corridors or anything else. Like why not? This way you, while losing the previous content, still have the content new players wouldn't be that much dissapointed overall since the content is here, the maniac with similar gameplay is here and map is very similar. Old players wouldn't be dissapointed too since it will show that BHVR has a plan for it.
My ideas might sound crazy but seeing how they make a new DLC every 3 months I don't think losing one DLC cycle would hurt that much. And you can sell it as your own DLC and not care about the licence.

No need to hate anyone. It's just business. Though for a lot of us it definitely is very disappointing.

I don't really like that idea. It would not feel fresh or exciting, it would just remind me of corporal stuff, not fun. DBD confirmed that there will be new versions of the perks, but with generic icons, so for survivors it's fine. The limited access to the Demogorgon killer is unfortunate but it's not unheard of in gaming. I will definitely miss the map, but i do not want to see it come back structurally the same but re-skinned, because it would not feel authentic.
Overall i am sad about it too, but it's really not that big of a problem in my opinion. If they tried to fix it, the stranger things chapter would not feel special at all anymore.
