SBMM? Seriously?

How can you identify SKILL in dbd?? In my point of view, this is not only about the 4k or 4 escapes, being too much subjective. Other point is that, this game is impossible to play just to "chill" because if ur not sweating, the survs that are obliterate you. So what is the point of making this game even more competitive since there are MASSIVE issues of balance in either sides? A killer can do the quickest chases possible, if is haddonfield + SWF he is uneskilled because he dont get even 1k? I just don't understand bhvr actions...

And screw even more killers, as if the new upcoming killers like nemesis and pinhead being weak enough

I enjoyed the SBMM test. I'm a solo survivor with about 600 hours of play who's good but not excellent, if that makes any difference.

So... do you think the current (no skill based) matchmaking is fine?

I think they should have to worry to other problems that are more basic, like old af bugged nurse blink, bugged blight dash, this way fixing the basics, and looking to ways of really balance the game, and then for last balance mathmaking.

Here's the thing. It's much easier to balance the game at higher skill when high skill games are actually between high skill players.

Last time devs shared stats for red rank games, survivors were getting slaughtered as every killer had close to 60% kill rate with the exception of Nurse sitting at 50%. But Red Ranks simply don't really mean the players were high skill. Too many people get carried to high ranks and then get stuck there, because the pipping system is heavily flawed.

If you want DBD to become more balanced, you should be more opened to SBMM as it'll lead the path for the devs to get better information to make balancing decisions on.

SBMM was more chill for me. Sure, it means I 2k most of the time max, but as long as everyone was having fun it was all good.

Skill based MM is only less chill for the skilled tryhard players, however for the average players like me is more chill and you get paired with people with more similar skill in my experience.

I've seen some main killer streamers crying the past days during the SBMM test because they don't want to play "so competitive in public matches" due being paired with SWFs full of meta perks, syringes, purple medkits, etc, which is translated as "I cannot make 20 win streaks for my viewers anymore while I'm steamrolling worse players!!! buaaa buaaa buaaaaa", they just were put against the kind of players the deserved during the SBMM.

I hope the SBMM and elo system will come soon.

Yes, because I’m tired of playing with rank 8 survivors against a rank 10 killer.

I can’t wait for SBMM asap!

We may never truely know how skill is measured for SBMM, but in my mind it's a good thing because if some people understood how it works, then it's 100% guaranteed some will try to manipulate the system.

Rank 8 vs rank 10 sounds wonderful honestly :/

Wait until you get matches with rank 8 or 10 v rank 1... 5 min games, 6k BPs, and back to the queue 😫

The issue with old bugs is the spaghetti code. Which is probably why they haven't fixed it.

So far the sbmmr was great. Most people had a enjoyable experience instead of the sweat fest we have now.

I loved the skill based matchmaking. Right now being a killer at rank 10 is horrible. I dont have many hours into killing since i do more surviving and yet i keep getting sweaty red ranks and purples against me. Most of my matches end up me not being able to practise killing since im looped and gen rushed less than in 5 minutes.

As a solo player, SBMM felt just as garbage as every other solo queue game to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SBMM gave me trials with people who play casually (or are at my level when I play casually) because I play casually as well. If you're constantly getting trials with people who play competitively, it's only because you play competitively.

As for how you define "skill", I find it curious that this argument only shows up en masse now that SBMM is becoming a reality, when the past 5 years have been people telling other people that they're "not skilled" based on their gameplay.
