SBMM is back, but with a twist
Now you have separate MMR for every survivor! I picked Jake for the first time in ages and that's what I got. I don't know how to explain this matchmaking otherwise.

I don't know exactly what's going with the MMR right now but I continued to have really smooth, competitive, chill matches today. Only one squash out of like twenty matches. All the rest were very evenly balanced and lasted a good 10-20 minutes per. I lost some, I won some, I had fun in almost all of them.
I was under the belief that they tested the SBMM and then turned it off last week. All I know is that since they started the test, whether they really did completely disable it or not, my games have all been much more consistent since. Even when I get rainbow ranks, the games themselves have all felt good. I don't know what's happening but I like it.

You know what's super odd? Depending on what build I'm using is what survivors I'm being teamed up with. For instance, I use Kindred and Small Game on my Nea for solo and anytime I'm in a match with Nea my teammates always have Kindred but when I play Jill / Claire who is my locker build, there is no kindred. But there is a lot of Head On teammates.
It really is strange.

Greens paired with lowbies is not abnormal

So, maybe now you have to pick metaperks to get metaperk using teammates. As killer, i saw some uniformity there...

The game didn't find any survivor of your rank but shouldn't be that common, or is it every game?

I don't see any weird thing, a 12 and a 20 is a difference of 5 hours of gameplay.

From what I understand, the title is sarcastic.

I mean, to be fair, a lot of players are testing out the PTB right now before they return to the main game. It makes sense that matchmaking is a bit fuckey right now

The default spread is 6 ranks either up or down, which is already large. Add to that that parameters get relaxed as queues increase and that brown ranks have very long wait times, it's not unusual to have a lobby matchmade like that.
Is it fair and balanced? Probably not. But that's why they're testing a new system to supersede thd current one.
