A Little Disappointed

I will keep this brief because I genuinely hate to complain. So, I watched Dead by Daylight lore and youtube match videos for roughly 2 years, before finally deciding to give it a try. I am still a relatively new player, as I installed my copy around the time those anniversary cakes were coming to an end. I love the characters, community, and lore, but the game has always looked a little intimidating because there seems to be so much to learn. However, when I finally started playing the game far exceeded the hype. Win or lose, I have so much fun throughout the matches. As a horror fan I am drawn to playing only Killers. But often I like letting survivors escape if I get enough points to avoid the dreaded "Entity Disappointed" message. Winning and losing is relative to me as long as I can get points to level up my characters and learn from each match. Even if I eat dirt I at least learn a new juke counter or trick to watch out for.

I have loved my time with Dead By Daylight. That is why this next part is so disappointing. I realize, as a new player, maybe I am just not experienced enough to play through it, or maybe I am more sensitive to the issues, but framerate and lag issues have grown increasingly worse in the short time I have been playing. It deeply saddens me that the game is a chore at this point. I was hoping the update would fix the issues but I think its worse now. I noticed anytime there is a Dead Hard, or often when a gen is completed, unhooks, quick survivor movements, quick killer movements, there is noticeable, painful, lag.

I am so close to finishing my first Rift! There are a lot of cosmetics and other killers I want to try. But I genuinely cannot find it in me to make those purchases while the game is in this shape. I do really love the game, and have met some of the most helpful/funniest survivor players in my short time. However, I am at the point of frustration where I am putting the game away for a couple of months in hopes there will be some fixes.

I have complained enough. I will end this by saying, I have been a huge fan long before playing, and it just sucks to have the experience soured by technical issues. I hope a fix happens soon.

It was never perfect but it was at least playable before the re chapter came.

You should be dissapointed. It is unfair how horrible game runs on last gen consoles.

Sorry your first experience with the game was like this but I wouldn't be too hopeful about the "fix". I do hope that you are able to play this game on a platform which runs it better one day because you deserve it considering how much you like it.

    Ill stop you roght now

You shouldnt be sorry to be disapointed about the matter of optimization on consoles

Its à topic that has been going on for monthes if not years and still, no real answer or reaction from BHVR other then "its in the work"

And this saddens me for all the console players, it should be number 1 priority..
