New hook system idea
Instead of every survivor having 3 hook stages, entire team would have 12 hook stages. For first 8 hooks nobody dies and people hooked afterwards simply die.
Gen speed would be reduced by 20% at the beginning of the game and would increase by 5% ever hook for first 4 hooks. Meaning after 4 hooks gen speed is normal. After 8th hook every hook increases gen speed by 5%.
This would eliminate camping since one person can be on hook for up to 9 hook stages. To discourage tunneling when you hook the same person in a row gen speed would increase (stackable).
Tell me why this wouldn't work.

It wouldn't work for several reasons, the first few that come to mind are:
- SWF would benefit from this greatly, as they could just sit on gens while someone's hooked without feeling any pressure.
- SoloQ would feel even worse to play, as you'd be harmed even harder by bad teammates.
- You would need to change several perks and deal with baby suicides on first hook.

Oh yay, I get to be left on the hook for 8 full hook stages... 8 minutes... of nothing...

Someone has suggested this before and everyone knows it won’t work and just create more problems. The current hook system works fine
