What if the Medic from TF2 was in Dead by Daylight?
Hey hey gamers, I've been away from the forums for a hot minute, to the point where my notifications are apparently too old to view. Anyway, I've been playing a bit of TF2 and started wondering how Valve's beloved characters would be implemented if they were to be included in a Dead by Daylight chapter or paragraph. So, I figure I'll start with my main and my personal favorite, the Medic.
Survivor concept - the medic aka ludwig
Unlike most Survivors, Mr. Ludwig's full name is unknown. In fact, it is unclear whether Ludwig is his first or last name. It is possible that Valve would reveal this should the Medic be added to DBD, but of course that alone is unlikely in the first place.
Perk: Quick Fix
Unnatural modifications to your body cause your wounds to close much faster than usual.
- Your bleeding is reduced by 30/40/50%.
- While injured and under 60% Healing progress, you passively gain 1% to your Healing progress per second. This effect is paused while you are running.
Perk: Overdose
Healing others grants you a surge of energy.
- Gain 1 second of charge for every second you spend Healing another Survivor, up to 30 seconds of charge.
- While running, you gain a 7% Haste Status Effect, see the Auras of all other Survivors, and lose charge.
- While being chased by the Killer and for 10 seconds afterward, Overdose is inactive.
- Failing a Skill Check while Healing another Survivor reduces your charge by 30/20/10 seconds.
Perk: Ubercharge
While protecting your teammates, you learned how to cheat death.
- After Healing other Survivors for a total of 60 seconds, Ubercharge becomes active.
- Failing a Skill Check while Healing another Survivor reduces the progress of Ubercharge by 15/10/5 seconds.
While active, press the Active Ability button while Healing another Survivor to gain the following effects:
- Both you and that Survivor gain the Endurance Status Effect for 8 seconds.
- The other Survivor's Aura is revealed to the Killer for the duration of the Endurance effect.
- Your Aura is revealed to the Killer for 12 seconds.
- Ubercharge deactivates.
So, what do you think of these perks? Too powerful? Too weak? Unfitting for the Medic and/or DBD? Please share your thoughts below.
Edit 1: Changed Overdose to not work in chase but reveal auras to compensate. This perk is intended to allow you to reposition somewhere you can better help your team once you are done healing.
Edit 2: Flipped tier values because am dum dum.
Edit 3: Forgot to add "per second" to Quick Fix's second effect.

Overdose might need to inflict a short Exhaustion period while healing, otherwise you'll see Sprint Bursting survivors running away from their fully (or not) healed companions at a speed of 157% followed by a long 7% boost. Might as well be forcing a tunnel at that point.

Yeah I was originally going to use Exhaustion but when I got around to the details I didn't know how I would fit it in. Problem with that though is that it's a real easy way to have Sprint Burst on command. I might just add that Overdose doesn't work during chase as it's not designed to be a chase perk anyway. Might buff it a little to compensate for that too.

Good perks! Though I think you flipped some values for Overdose and Ubercharge, perks usually get better going from Tier 1 --> 3. Specifically how much charge/progress you lose.

Ah good catch, I didn't even notice.
