What's the difference between video games and physical games in that regard?

Don't listen to that. Play the game how you want to play it as long as you don't cheat or dc they can complain all they want and it will mean less. Tunneling and Camping are legitimate tools in your killer arsenal and you should use them when you feel you need to.

Ultimately it's your choice. I don't do these things because I think they make for a boring game. I also don't do them because I think it makes the game a better overall experience. Will there be ######### no matter how I play? Sure, I just ignore them and move on.

That doesn't seem relevant to the idea of playing to win.

Because the most important thing for a killer is making sure survivors have fun! And you might also get a "GG" after and some survivors even avoids t-bagging at exit gate.

People like this have no game sense and suffer from cognitive dissonance/inability to accept reality.

I feel bad for them and hope they get the help they need, as it's probably wrecking their lives way worse than however they're behaving in game.

Seriously. I hope they get help.

I say you can tunnel I have no problems with it. But if your going to do it don't be upset that your tunnel didn't work because of the perks survivors bring. That's all I ask.

violence begets violence, friendliness begets friendliness. if someone's being toxic, ignore them. if you're asking "why not just camp if they're going to get angry anyway" is that camping is boring. it's one thing to defend the hook, but it's honestly just boring for everyone if you have a staring contest.

    I hate this mentality.

If you are camping and tunneling because you think everyone is going to “harass” you at post match chat.

To me, that’s just as immature as the people making those comments.

Not everyone is like that, but this is DBD so you know it’s bound to happen at one point or another.

Not saying this excuses their actions, but I think it’s important to understand that you can only control you and your own actions, not theirs and certainly not what kind of player is playing against you.

Tunneling and camping is legit, the same as play with 4 premade so there is not problem with that.

I used to play "Fair" and survivors tbagged and rushed me so I started tunneling and camping them, It increased my winrate a lot so that means that is a good strategy ¿Why shouldnt I do It? I don't care about survivors frustration feeling or how boring is the Game for them, they didn't care when I was the victim.

Start Complaining about how unbalanced the Game is, survivor sided as hell, and when Killers get love and care they Will not need to slug/Camp/tunnel. Until that, we Will keep tunneling and camping because is the only way to stop the stupid genspeed and rush

In xbox you can turn off messages in the settings app. Or set it to where only friends can message you.

Because you won't improve as a player as much.

And I've had similar post-game chat as well, even when I didn't do camping, tunneling, etc.

Side-note: People hate Wraith players rn.

Sometimes I feel like some players just hate every killers in general.

Most people play SWF because solo q is garbage, not because they want to make the killer "miserable".

If you know you didn't tunnel or camp why bother making a post complaining about it? Just ignore them.

Seems pretty petty/entitled, though - The desire that a portion of the player base leave because they don't subscribe to one's own preferred playstyle or definition of fun, I mean.

Not gonna lie - I laughed.

I'll purposely camp and tunnel to assert my dominance and I get flamed less than if I actually didn't tunnel and camp.

If you even look at me funny as a survivor I'll facecamp you.

Honestly you shouldn't give a ######### about if the other side is having fun or not most of the time they don't do the same for you so why bother? Tunnel, camp and win all the games. That's just the nature of DBD. Also if the survivor has such an awful time in your game chances are they'll shut up because they don't want you to remember their name. That's why I occasionally give a random survivor a nice slugging to remind them where their place is.

I only really considered it because I thought someone made a good point and because people playing this game have fried my router TWICE.

At this point, I just want to save money.

You are correct in thinking that. And they do. I find these people don't play killer and don't "get it." People need to play both sides to "get it."

  • Nathan13
    Nathan13 Member Posts: 6,721

Exactly. I used to be a survivor main and would always complain about killers camping, tunneling and slugging and using NOED.

But the more I played killer I started to realize why killers have to do those things.

  • Lenox
    Lenox Member Posts: 234

    Yep.

I don't camp. But I should after 5 gens are done. But I still feel bad and don't even.

I don't tunnel. But sometimes I follow scratch marks for 20 seconds and it's the same person I just hooked. So, yeah.

I don't slug, unless I have Deerwalker. I find it hard to find the corpse again w/o it. I lose track and they get back up with teammate heals.

I don't use NOED. But I would if I had an end-game challenge I couldn't get past or felt it worked nicely in my build (Deathslinger?).

Without playing killer, I wouldn't understand the intricacies of these things. And those that don't play killer are just filled with hatred instead of trying to understand.

Because the Survivors might get pissy I guess

You reap what you sow. The more people who camp and tunnel, and more reason Survivors have to click and BM in match, and vice versa.

Play how you want, but if you camp and tunnel every game, don't be shocked when people BM you. It's p simple. You're always going to get stinkers either way. But imho I'd rather be nice and at least try to break the cycle than feed into it.

There really isn't much of a reason to not tunnel and camp outside of morals.
