Keep event items and offerings when you prestige? / New Killer: Ghostface (Scream)

Event Items and offerings:
I was mostly wondering why aren't we able to atleast keep our event items and offerings when you prestige a character. Event though we can't use them when the events are over, it would be nice if you were able to keep them for when you prestige way before the event is up again. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I like collecting all the consumables in every game.
New Killer Idea:
As you probably read from the title, I was was think of a new possible killer, Scream (or Ghostface). I haven't actually though of any perks and such, I just though of a possible character. Give ideas down below if you also thing Scream should be a killer sometime in the future.
