Would you pay a monthly fee for DbD to have dedicated server?
My upper limit would be 5 USD. I could afford more, but wouldnt feel right.
Something in between 1 and 3 USD is prpbably the best balance (no idea if it would be enough).

@Peasant , Well, even Stevie Wonder could see that, so I sure hope they realize it.

But yeah, some people at the forums act like BHVR is some small, poor indie company. They are a major developer, have been around for almost 25 years, and work on a lot of major I.P.s.
They are neither small nor new.
By the way, check out their Job Opportunities. I find it interesting that they're hiring for a Senior Product Manager and a Product Manager for DBD.

No. I hate that business model. I already bought the game.

I'm currently unable to work due to an injury so I couldn't afford to pay a monthly fee sadly, not even for dedicated servers. I also think dedicated servers need to wait for new code but also how would that affect those that aren't near a server location?

Already paid for the game. I also pay monthly for PS+ already so no.10

No. Mostly same reasons as Chester.
(I'm also not someone desperate for BHVR-owned servers)

The game already cost 73 euros with all the paied Chapters included btw.
Which you had to buy to be able to really play it before the Clown's patch, and the addition of the store where you can now unlock a killer with playtime.

No. I prefer paying for good internet. And already paying for PS+, like @ChesterTheMolester said.5

Also, players who think 'dedicated servers' are going to solve all the matchmaking problems and lags, they've clearly misunderstood. I cannot spend my weekend praying that the server doesn't get DDoS'd, and doesn't go up until two days, because the devs are not working because its weekend for them, too.4

Hell no.

No, they already have enough places to get income with the DLC and cosmetic shop, I support them with each new content release.
Money is not the issue with dedicated servers its the recoding of the game and those areas with low population could have constant high pings as no company will pay for servers in a low pop thsoe areas.

Heck no.

No. I bought a PC so i wouldnt be forced to pay additional fees if i just wanted to hop into a game and play. with my 1000+ hours i havent had extreme problems with p2p only maybe 2 lagswitches.

HELL NO. These greedy bastrds make enough bank off skins. If they can't put a little bit back into the game, **** EM... Besides Red Dead Redemption 2 is out in a day or so. I'll just play that and forget Dead By Daylight even existed.

Why pay for something that's completely normal and build-in at other games?
No.
I also haven't had any extreme difficulties with P2P so far, so i'm not really caring either.1 -
Given the presence of the cosmetic shop, I'd like to think that I am paying monthly already. With how much money I have sunk into this game I wouldn't add a separate monthly fee to pay. I periodically buy their cosmetics every few months in clusters and I believe that that should be enough on my part.0

I would, even though I usually don't have lag issues. Two conditions:
- PVP would have to stay available. Don't always need a dedicated server.
- It would have to be cheap: around $3,00 a month. I guess 4-5 would still be acceptable, but even something like $1/month would deter some players, not so much because of the amount, but simply because a lot of people just can't be bothered.
That said, the question of dedicated servers comes up very often in the forums, and many people say most of the code would have to be rewritten to do it. I wouldn't know, but it may be correct. I hope BHVR at least runs some numbers to figure out if it would be viable.

No. This game already has a feel of early access with the amount of issues and patch then repatching. BHVR has to at least have a solid game that the community is happy with before I would even consider paying a fee.

Nope, they game simply doesn't have enough variety to keep me playing even for free. I find myself getting bored of killer or survivor faster and faster each day. When every round is almost a carbon copy of the one before it I can't see a reason to play much longer.
For those who have 500+ hours, what is it that keeps you playing? Is there some kind of variety I'm missing? At the moment RDR2 and BF5 will completely pull me away from DbD. Add in the fact that a killer queue is now 5-10 minutes and DbD is looking worse and worse for the long term.

They should of focused on their main game, not launching Deathgarden, which ironically, is dead haha
To answer you, no, i wouldn't, they had the money and resources to do so, instead they decied to waste it away5 -

Nope. I already play Overwatch, Paladins, HoTS, and other games that are of better quality overall, and have dedicated servers with no fee. Plus, why would I pay BHVR an extra fee for something they'd already put into their other game, Deathgarden?
Behavior Interactive is not some poor, small company. https://www.bhvr.com/ Either invest in DBD, or hope that Hide or Die, Last Year: The Nightmare, and some other games on the horizon absolutely bomb. Otherwise . . . .

I just examined that link and saw something really funny.
They have a series of panels with their games at the bottom and something's missing.
It would seem that BHVR knows that Death Garden flopped.0 -
Not a chance.
I despise companies that do the whole "Pay full price for the game! And monthly to play it! And don't forget to buy any expansions/DLC!"0 -
yes, around 5$ would be fair i guess, in exchange id expect more events and fancy stuff like "get next dlc for free if youve subscribed for the last 3 months, w/e

Lots of successful games have dedicated servers and no monthly fee....so no.
