Why have cages in the first place then? Might as well remove them altogether.

The entire point of the cages is they are an alternative method of advancing the killers objective, with the downside being they deprive you of hook related perks. However that goes for the survivors too, its a neutral gain because neither of you get to use your hook related perks. Thats the purpose of the cages, otherwise why not just teleport them onto a hook instead.

It's a power and it counts as a hook state.

Apply hook perks and it loses all relevance.

    ^ This.

This poll question is a bit dumb because this was part of the original vision and direct intention of the cages from the devs. The specifically addressed this and the entire point is that it switches up how you play around "hooked state" survivors. Removing the options of getting saved off the shoulder (DS / flashlight / pallet stun / wiggle off), the option of camping / patrolling, and perks like We'll make it, BBQ, pop, etc.

It might not seem all that different but mechanically speaking this makes for a very different experience after getting caught than normal. This was the purpose in the first place- so asking the community if they'd want to go back on that it is immaterial.
