Can anything be done about RPD?
This map is the worst. It's beautiful, but, honestly untextered shapes in a field of grey if they were designed and placed well would be more fun than this map. The fun of DBD is making cool plays, not sight seeing.
the constructive criticisms:
Generators are hard to find
Hooked survivors are hard to get to
the loops are either completely unsafe or godly
immersion strategies are way too effective
half the roster of killers are reduced to m1
the map is just too big.
As a survivor, when i get this map I try to amass bloodpoints before my inevitable suicide on first hook. As a killer with no option to suicide, I simply alt-tab out to watch some youtube or read the forums. There is no fun to be had, so I will not play it.
It is incredibly faithful to the game, which is likely the problem: licensing ties your hands and prevents the wholesale changes this map requires. So given that the walls and stairs must remain where they are is there anything that can be done? Please don't respond with, you just have to learn the layout. And for those that enjoy it, I'm happy you do...but this will be an auto quit for me until something turns the fun knob to at least a 4.

I like the map the way it is. It's maze like and unique compared to the other maps. I like mazes.
I think they should implement the one from Kubricks version of The Shinning. The one with Jack Nicholson.

They don’t fix maps in the game at least balance wise

they can split it up into different variants like Macmillan, auto haven, cold win and badham but have 3 versions each with a different floor of the rpd

There has been a rumor (leak, unconfirmed) that RPD is getting new versions, similar to Springwood (Freddy Map).

Yep, but they won't do it.
Technically I should say "can't", because lisences are usually rather strict in that area, but even if they had permission there's no chance they'll actually do anything about that map. So no, they won't do anything.

Map is fine once you learn it. Too many players are just unwilling to adapt.
The only problem I have is that it is too dark in some places.

As of now, the map has been disabled :)

I forget where it was said, but the line "we don't take killer powers into account when designing maps" was said in reference to RCPD...that alone is just a horrible horrible philosophy for this game. I also have a very strong urge to just not play when I'm on that map, I got the achievement for it as a survivor, my only draw to play it out on either side is gone - plus if I let the survivors escape then more people get the achievement so more people without a draw to play on the map...

It's specifically the gen that spawns right near the exit gates in the main room. There can and often is two gens in that main entrance hall, one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom - only the bottom one counts. I can't comment if it's bugged or not, just that the very first time I got that map on live I did that gen with a friend and we both got the achieve.

Though, this game is about timing crucial, a miss swing result for another 5sec of chase (in dead zone), which adding 15sec of Gen progressing. Or miss judge traveling time to a hook resulting team mate gets to 2nd hook because a chase cross path make it longer to reach hook.
I lost 2 Gen just to find a way to go upstair.
Until Custom game allow people to play alone, people will have the right to complain about the map.

So I adapt as billy on the map by not using my power for its main use?

Yeah I heard the developers are redesigning it into a couple different maps and possibly even an Outdoor Variant, doubt you know anything about that and can clarify if it's true?

Yes, learn to hold W and m1 the survivors with no mind-gaming necessary because the pallets are either the most unsafe ones I've ever seen or complete god pallets with no chance to mind-game. Not to mention most of the killer roster is rendered completely useless by the sheer size of the map, as well as the fact it is indoor. Plus, even if you do learn the layout, half the gens require you to follow through a labyrinth of indirect hallways.
But yeah "it's fine once you learn it". Let's not excuse this horrendous map design because YOU like it personally. It's objectively horrible.
