Chapter Concept: Rose and Daggers



Killer Idea: The Rose

32 m/s Terror Radius


A lonely poltergeist able to manipulate people's emotions and steal their souls.

In life she was a happy go lucky young women who found herself falling into the wrong crowd.

The Rose wears a long white dress. Her entire body glows a bright blueish color and across her arm and legs are symbols carved onto her flesh.


Her hair is blonde and long, reaching down to her ankles but the hair covered most of her face. Only her left side of her face is sometimes seen.



Weapon: Sacrificial Dagger


Snake like curved dagger with runes carved into the blade of the knife.

Used in life by her husband and his family to carve their families hellish runes onto her skin now used to tear open her victims souls.





Power: Phantom Dagger


Her lonely whimpers and tearful cries are only a deploy for you to let your guard down before she tears open your soul.


The Rose can press the ACTIVE ABILITY BUTTON to release Phantom Dagger...


The Rose will throw out her SACRIFICIAL DAGGER. If the dagger successfully lands on any kind of surface or wall a Phantom dagger will appear in the Roses hand.


The Rose can press the active ability button once more to throw the PHANTOM DAGGER at any kind of surface or wall. Both the sacrificial dagger and phantom dagger will appear as blue auras for the Rose.




Secondary Ability: Soul Grasp


Once two daggers are laid out, the Rose will be allowed to use her Secondary Ability, Soul Grasp.


Pressing this ability button will have the two daggers tether and with one another.

Any survivors in between the two daggers when they tether will become injured.


( note: the Rose cannot throw the Sacrificial dagger or phantom dagger through walls but once the two daggers are already deployed she can use soul Grasp and the daggers can tether through walls.

The maximum distance for the two daggers to connect is 8 meters. If the Phantom Dagger is thrown outside of this range, the ability will automatically reset.

Throwing the sacrificial or phantom dagger directly at a survivor does not injure them.)





Passive: Rune Soul


The Rose feeds off on ohers bad emotions. For each injured survivor in the trial the Rose gains an extra Phantom Dagger.


The Rose can use the extra phantom dagger along with all her other daggers up to a maximum of 5 phantom Daggers.


Using SOUL GRASP will tether all the daggers together at once back towards the original SACRIFICIAL DAGGER.




Couple of Addons:


Jar of Tears: slightly increase the tether distance of two daggers


Vase of Blood: moderately increase the tether distance of two daggers


Broken Fingernail: Slightly decreases the movement speed penalty while charging up phantom dagger throw


Iridescent Bouquet: The Rose no longer uses Phantom Daggers. Throwing out her sacrificial dagger and then using soul Grasp will have the sacrificial dagger tether back towards her.







Perks:



Ring Around The Rosey:


When all else seemed dark and hopeless, you remembered the lullabies your mother used to softly sing to you at night. How naive you were back then to be fooled by lullabies and children stories.


When the Killer is within 4 meters of a dropped pallet, the Killer receives a 4/5/6% movement speed boost.


Survivors within 4/5/6 meters of a dropped pallet will have their auras revealed.

Isolation:


Survivors who have not been inside your terror radius for the last 120/110/100 seconds will have their auras revealed for 4/6/8 seconds. This perk will go on a 60/50/40 second cooldown.


"We moved far away, nearer to his family. Far... far away from help.."






Hex: Deep Sorrow


Your presence brings sorrow, uneasiness, and a slew of bad emotions to everyone around you.


Survivors within your terror radius will scream every 10/9/8 seconds.

The Killer will know when the next scream will happen by looking at the perk icon on their bottom screen.


Anytime survivors cleanse a totem, finish a generator, or open a chest they will scream.


Cleansing this Hex Totem will have all survivors scream across the map, marking their locations.

Survivor:


Mirai Foster


A senior in high school, she runs the schools newspaper.

Mirai always finds a way to write an interesting story to revive the dying traditional of reading the paper.

She found herself looking in local urban myths often, visiting supposedly haunted areas and writing about them with picture proof.

It was a hit for the school paper.


During Spring break she took a trip to an old Victorian style home a couple hours from where she lived.

She heard myths about the house belonging to a family cult. The family apparently practiced old satanic rituals on outsiders, hoping to find a way to keep their bloodline alive and rid them of their deformities. Centuries of inbreeding with one another caused many from the family to grow deformities.

One of their subjects was a young women... some say you can still hear her cries from inside the cellar, echoing for help.



Appearance: Mirai Foster has bobbed brown hair and wears a comfortable and causal outfit. Jeans with lots of pockets, a bag for her laptop and papers. Not to mention her school lanyard.




Perks:



Ghost Hunting:


Who doesn't like a nice scare once in a while, no harm in hunting for something that isn't even real... right?


With this perk active, the survivor can see killer scratchmarks for 3 seconds and the killers red stain is 10/15/20% brighter and increases in distance.

What's The Scoop?:


When the obsession is being chased by the killer, you are able to see the killers aura while they are within 10/12/14 meters of the obsession.


Taking a protection hit for the obsession will grant you and the obsession the endurance status effect, putting this perk on a 110/100/90 second cooldown.


The chances of becoming the obsession with this perk is lower.


If you are the obsession, this perk deactivates.

Ready Or Not:


While the obsession is being chased you gain a 6/7/9% haste effect in repairing generators, healing survivors, unhooking, opening chest, destroying totems, and movement speed.
