New animation idea for DS

On the survivors view you see yourself stab the killer in the back with whatever. On the killers side instead of holding your hands in front of your face you take that thing out of your back and throw it on the ground, this not only lets kind of see where the survivors are going if they move in front of you and it makes sense. Same animation time it takes with the current animation. Good idea?

    Different idea with it

    The killer can take out the shank, but they still need to look down. The purpose of the perk is to give a chance at escaping. Same reason why the killers camera looks down during pallet breaks.

    New and updated animations are always my favorite and most looked forward to part of the visual updates. In my eyes there are still MANY things that could use fresh updated animations, for example I spent a lot of time in the past pushing for separate animations for survivors when they are carrying items. It breaks the immersion I think when you're holding a toolbox and all of a sudden it disappears from your hand whenever you vault a window, drop a pallet, save another survivor, etc.

    Instead think of how cool it would be to have unique animations where your survivor drops the toolbox gently on the ground before beginning to open a chest, repairing a generator, or saving a survivor. Something that takes very little time so you can still do things quickly, but preserves the integrity that comes with realism instead of the very video game-y "toolbox just flat out disappears when performing any interaction.


    Long story short I'm game for any updated animations. They make things in the realm of the entity feel more lifelike and natural when you see a character performing different interactions in different ways rather than reusing the same animation for like five different things.

    The problem I see is from the killers side. DS exists because of tunneling killers. So they really shouldn’t have any advantage in seeing where the survivors run off too. Furthermore no scratch marks should be left for 5 seconds.. giving the survivors more of a chance to actually get away. Otherwise it’s a wasted perk slot esp since you can only use DS once the whole match.. I also think if you begin to heal yourself it shouldn’t disable unless you’ve fully healed. If I work on a gen then sure bc clearly I’m not being tunneled if I can stop to do that.
