How much do cosmetics affect stealth? A query

I was looking to spend some shards and found Adam has a bright yellow hair cut with bright yellow shades and I was wondering... How important is physically stealth as a survivor? Try to imagine when you stealth if you looked more like a trrafic cone would the killer have seen you or is stealth more he never even saw your pixel. I was considering trying to find the darkest skins to be better at stealth but I wonder are the survivors already bright enough so killers can see them no matter what or is physical stealth a very power asset?

Just wear what you like don't worry about it. It might help in some situations but hiding behind objects works well anyway. Trying to blend in is risky. It might give you an edge in some situations but it is not really noticeable.

I tried blendette at one point and didn't notice much difference. You can definitely try once in a while, like I do.

Maybe I don't notice the difference because I am not big on hiding. I am either at gen, healing/unhooking or being chased by the killer. But it might help in confusing and losing the killer which I also do depending on situation.

Just relax and don't think too much about it. If you feel like trying definitely do. I made a thread recently and people suggested a lot. You can check it out. And don't mind people making assumptions and hating you for it like they did to me lol.

Stealth kinda dies off in the higher ranks. Killer perks and killer awareness improve and looping becomes much more prevalent

I am a above 4000 hours Claudette player, Stealthy clothes only matter when someone is looking at you directly.

If you play well, you stealthy movement of being out of sight is WAY MORE important than stealthy clothes.

I play the same way on Felix in a full blue office clothes too, same survive rate as Claudette.

In theory if you wear flashy clothes, you will get spotted. But if you are not seen, then it wont matter.

I have a friend who is somehow able to pull off stealthy plays as Zarina in her Christmas Onesie. I have no idea how... But it works.

I would say to not worry about it.

Because they've gone out of their way to eliminate all traces of fog in this game, any character can see any other character from hundreds of feet away. Doesn't matter what they're wearing. As long as they're in the open or moving (or even just looking around a rock or something) they're likely to get spotted. There HAVE been a few instances of my characters happening to get lucky and hunker down in a corner while the killer walks by, but we're talking like four or five such instances in as many months of playing the game.

In short, the game doesn't really have such a thing as cosmetic camouflage. You'll be brighter or darker depending, but unless you're spending all your time crouching in a bush (which you shouldn't be regardless) the difference won't be significant.

Depends on console where you can’t edit options like lower graphics , cosmetics can be be a advantage. You ever try to find a tap who hiding in the super dark corner of a class room in midwhich or a any small survivor crouching in huge dark bushes in the saloon map

I lose even the fruitcake survivors. I find scratch marks and audio are more important than physically seeing the survivor. I guess you can't hide in a bush if you are neon, though.

Biggest thing - black is one of the most visible colours in my admittedly limited experience. My hours are nothing compared to some, but I'll say black hairs and the shiny black clothes cut through the visibility of the fog/culling effects like nothing else - and killers seem particularly blind when I'm wearing Meg's White Valkyrie outfit - which might clue you into what people look for.

What really matters for what passes for stealth in this game (again, from my perspective - I have people in my chats who disagree) is movement patterns, moreso than cosmetics.

I think Adam took the throne on stealth cosmetics after p3 Claudette was nerfed. But in from experience bein more aggressive is better than stealth play.

I can stealth around using Kate's Greek outfit, so not much. Perks imo are more important for it: Iron Will (a must), Lucky Break, Spine Chill, Fixated, etc. Although a Claudette with black clothes is still really sneaky.

Certain characters with certain outfits can crouch in foliage and become genuinely undetectable. It's actually kind of a serious and very old flaw that has never been addressed.
