Imagine losing MMR after getting camped & tunneled for 4 gens
(mori screen)
I wonder if when MMR comes they will start adjusting MMR after end of match, so if 1 survivor gets tunneled and 3 escape, it's still a win for everybody (including the camped survivor, because if he didn't manage to hold the killer that amount of time, that wouldn't be possible).
Fun match tho.

I get what your saying, but if it did that, then it wouldn't be a good MMR system. It would be what we have now, just handing out rank ups.
Ideally, that killer will rank up to the point where survivors punish tunneling with a bit of gen tunneling of their own as there won't be a point to trying to saving that person.
If the killer wants someone dead, he's going to die.

DBD doesn't need to give out participation awards just because you don't like how you died.

I agree. But if you want to discuss this I would please ask you to create another post. That is not the point of my discussion.

No, their post is pretty spot on for the discussion. Matchmaking is going to be based on your skill. If you are getting tunneled out every game, but your team ends up all escaping, you aren't going to go up in rank. Yes, tunneling happens. It is however, up to you to prevent it from happening over and over. Either you are doing something wrong if it keeps happening, or if your luck is so bad, you need to bring perks that helps prevent it. So yes, you won't be getting participation awards, and you shouldn't be.

It depends on what SBMM actually accounts for when it creates/changes your MMR. Kills/escapes are probably part of the equation, but does it factor in how long chases are? How many hooks are gotten in the trial? Pallet stuns versus pallets dropped? How well you can hide from the killer?
In short, maybe it will account for you getting tunneled if you played well and add to your MMR. Maybe it won't.
