Upload your short PinHead clips right before the game crashes
In order to try to provide the dev teams some leads as to what might be causing the game to crash I recommend uploading some clips. Windows + G allows you to record video and you can record the last 30 seconds. So when it crashes, please upload that video.

Edit: Every video so far has had an active chain hunt when the server crashed. If you have video of the server crashing when there was not an active chain hunt please post that video.

End Game: I'm chasing the survivor and practicing landing my shots, I break the door to grant access to the hatch and the game crashes.

Question: If you're playing as Pinhead, do you get a dc penalty? I ask because it's dced me twice as survivor and mercifully I have so far not gotten a penalty.

I haven't, but I've heard that others have.

In my experience, you get bloodpoints, but you do not get experience. No time out.

No penalty. Just sadness and emptiness.

This happened to me 8 times straight as a survivor against pinhead. Every time with 2 Gen's left it disconnected from the host. Lost all my good offerings and rank! Worst killer yet! I believe I should be given my rank and my offerings back.

So, end game. I've caught the survivor to give them hatch, this is how it ends.

I stopped playing after 2 games. First time steam reset because it's Tuesday, forgivable. The 2nd time I had 2 people dead and 1 on a hook. As I was breaking a pallet the game froze and said "Disconnected from host". Don't have any screen shots sadly.

Alright so from all of the cases that I've had, here's the patterns that I've been able to deduce. It seems to be related to scoring events. It always happens during an action that grants bloodpoints. Breaking Doors, escaping, opening the door. The action can be done by either killer or survivor. And I think it happens during a chain hunt or when someone is holding the box hostage, in which case they have a personal chain hunt. If you have videos that debunk this theory please post them.
Edit: This observation is not fool proof though. Because I and many others have had chain hunts that have not resulted in the game disconnecting, so we still need to determine why that is. Is it random, are there differences from when it disconnects and when it doesn't. This is still far from consistently reproducible.

So your game crashed when the survivor was sacrificed. That lines up with my current theory that the crash is related to events where you earn bloodpoints. I can't tell from your video, but do you remember if the blood hunt was active before downing the last survivor?

Something that could also be it, maybe it's not bloodpoints, maybe it's related to emblems. That's so hard to pin down though because I never get emblems after the game, so it's hard to get evidence one way or the other.

I had downed Nea who was holding the Lament Configuration, so yes, the Chain Hunt was active at the time.

It definitely has something to do with chain hunts in some way at the very least. Also if i pick up the box with the spacebar interaction (randomly ran across it as the killer) the game immediately crashed, haven't done it since. Every other time a chain hunt was happening or the survivor was trying to hold the box hostage (and did let themselves get a chain hunt)

This time it happened right as the hook was going to be inputted.

Mat, do this for me. I want you to go out of your way to allow the survivors to get out of the chainhunt. Let them solve the cube, obviously if a survivor holds it hostage, nothing you can do. But I don't think the server crashes if the hunt is not active. If it does, send me that video please.

Chain Hunt active, but the last action was a dc, which was not a scoring event until after the match was complete

Not sure if this info helps, but that door at Badham which caused the crash is the very same door that caused me to crash a couple of times when the RE chapter came out. There's a possibility too much is happening on that screen, including the breakage? There's way more going on with his actions of the chains.

What caused your game to crash was when the first survivor was sacrificed. Do you not get points when a survivor is sacrificed? It definitely affects your emblem for sure.
