One big problem im already seing with SBMM (as a solo/duo Survivor)
So, i played à dozen games solo and with a friend in survivor and we saw one pattern starting to repeat that i didnt saw in the past monthes (so ill put it on the back of MMr <3)
Survivors not unhooking others (especially in end game) and leaving early/asap
Its hella frustrating, never saw so many people pmaying selfish at once before (in the past monthes it happened once in a while not THAT often)
Why? I think it is because MMR doesnt have an exact "objective/win" condition set, some people will tend to just take "i escaped" as their win, and will selfishly think about their own MMr, after all if you wanna go up, why bother saving someone at the end game?
I dunno it may change depending the ranking...but damn it feels pretty bad and if this becomes à normal maner in the game, that it will create (another) toxic behaviors and gameplay...

honestly they could be doing adepts if I'm doing a survivor adept sorry teammates you are being left behind

Maybe that's the winning strategy overall. Trying to rescue often brings more sacrifices.
Just saying, don't want to imply anything, and maybe it is not even true.

No 3 survivor perks
No adept tries
People just play selfish

I've also felt really incentivized to leave as early as i possibly can. Every time i die (Even if it was because i was saving somebody from a facecamp, or other nuanced scenarios that aren't really a "loss") i still get paired up with people who are clearly way below my skill level. The system encourages you to win at all costs and sacrifice your teammates in the process if you ever want to enjoy the game. Get facecamped? Enjoy being paired with a bunch of rank 20 leon mains! I hate it, the system is not nuanced enough and does not take into account enough possibilities to be effective. Losing to an infectious+starstruck nurse should not make the system consider me a bad player.
I Don't like being selfish. But i can already feel the impact MMR is having, and i know other players are too. if you aren't playing selfishly as a survivor, you are actively jeopardizing the fun of your future matches.

Yeah, but then it really will just create à toxic gameplay where à hooked survivor is basically dead
Its frutrating cause they take No risks and still wait 5 mins at the gate
But lets go in a monstrously bad meta yeah

Well this would confirm what i am thinking and feeling
(And just gives another reason to the list of why MMr is super bad for the game)

It's not the ranking system, it's just people. I promise. I've been running Kindred pretty much since its rework and I still get left to die on first hook or into second stage just to get unhooked in the killer's face without BT.
You're right, it does keep you with lower-skilled/less-knowledgeable players, I haven't been able to get past 15 for the last few months. I said it, 15! I'll have some games where I pipped, but then it's countered with de-pips. I acknowledge where it's on me, but just too often, it's a lack of teamwork or scared players.
And to think, I was once in red ranks. Switched to PC some time ago and have been yellow ever since. shrug The new account just hasn't been able to climb out. Thanks, team.
