What is your opinion on this.
Is the repair speed to fast? Should repair speed be nerfed? Are slowdown perks needed? Should the killer player just get better? Does the game need better balance for higher skill level play? I'm curious what y'all think about this gameplay video.

It is undebatable that high MMR is extremely unbalanced.

It can suck that some games can go by real quick, but DBD and perks sets are so messed up that making any small decision can have big impacts. Like, in this he has Ruin + pop and when those perks are up, I feel like most players will just glue themselves to gens to not risk losing progress. No healing, just gens.
Then theres the RNG of maps to add on top of that.

Well Wraith isn't one of the killers able to compete at top tier levels however, for me the problem is more about gen spread and map pressure rather than actual gen speed itself.
Plus if it's extremely optimal survivors then it just adds to the issue of gens flying.
So for me, more so gen spread, map pressure and optimal survivors.

Well I have a couple problems with this.
- he’s playing wraith he’s not good at top tier play he’s going to lose
- hex ruin is not even a good perk on wraith cause he has no pressure like blight nurse and spirit.
- tinkerer is kinda not good cause why would you want invisibility when you have it forever
- it’s so obvious at high mmr it’s impossible to win unless your a great Nurse spirit blight or Oni.

Wraith is considerably better than Oni and Tinkerer's Undetectable status is a non-factor whenever talking about that perk and Ruin. Seriously, it means absolutely nothing and doesn't actually contribute anything.
Wraith doesn't chase and you cannot defend against him, which is why he's so hated (he's only visible for about 3 seconds before uncloaking and lunging you due to his speed). Oni gets locked out of his power. Ruin/Tinkerer on a killer as fast as Wraith is broken.
Not bothered by what happens in the video, I just don't like it when people undersell that harshly.

I was typing out the same points - Beat me to it, friendo :3
I've had games like this/have been in a swing state where I'm tossed between really hard/tieable/winnable games.
It doesn't bother me at all, tbh. I have fun and enjoy the varied spikes in difficulty.

There are more factors than just simply the speed at which they are done which contributes to gen speeds:
- Map layouts and size
- Spawn points
The fact is that simply increasing the numbers on M1 holding the gens or buffing regression perks ... is pretty lazy design and in the end won't change that much. Considering aspects like gen spread, and safe pallets to waste time of the killer or the time it takes to traverse the map in general for the killer on most maps and spawn locations.
Additionally the kicking of gens should be revamped as it is: one of the most surprising tips killers give new ones is to not bother kicking gens in 99.9% of the cases as it will simply lose you the game. Unless you have actual perks like Pop or the 100% certainty nobody is going to tap it the killer gains no value out of it and loses time... so overall a net loss. Therefore if you want to address an easy design tweak, this is where it should be.

Oni with the power active is maybe the strongest killer in the game, but it is also so easily deniable

So are we just going to ignore how he kept randomly chasing Tinkerer notifications instead of actual survivors? Hit and run only works against uncoordinated solo teams, don't know what he expects using this playstyle at this level.
High level DBD isn't balanced ofc, but less than 1% of the playerbase plays at this level so it's not like the game doesn't have bigger issues right now.

That video was entirely about Wraith and his capabilities at high mmr. You can't balance the game around a single killer, because that would make the better killers OP. There comes a point where you need to balance the killer with the game, not the other way around.

My opinion is that not everyone is going to win all their games all the time. =/
You win and lose some, it's not a big deal. No one wins 100% all the time.

The problem isn't gen speed, its how difficult it is to apply pressure on good survivors. Unless you're Nurse, Spirit, or Blight, it takes too long to down good survivors who have safe tiles and exhaustion perks to extend chases for minutes.
Maps tie into this greatly. If every map was like Coal Tower, where its relatively small, has safe tiles (but not many of them) and actually allows the killer to get to the other side of the map in 10-15 seconds and create dead zones, etc, mid to low tier killers could perform well.
When you have big maps with numerous safe pallets (e.g like coldwind here) against good survivors, you just can't win unless you tunnel or camp from the get go.

PSA: Give hatch often, and lose ocasionally. You REALLY don't want to let it get as bad as tru3 does, he obviously wins as frequently as he can for content but if you follow in those footsteps you'll be stuck in MMR hell.
