Gideon Meat Plant disabled for days and it's still a palletfest
Ok, when BHVR disabled The Game I thought it was for taking a look into the pallet problem of that map.
I read some time ago a guy who counted the amount of pallets in that map and there were 26 or 27 pallets if I remember correctly. I played that map yesterday for first time since it was re-enabled and the amount of pallets is still the same. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The problem is not only the amount of pallets, the amount of safe pallets too, I think is the map with higher quantity of safe pallets. The amount of pallets is so insane that survivors waste them and play safe because there are no need to save them for later in a match due the ridiculous amount.

It has a bunch of safe pallets and as an added bonus, sometimes you can't break them. Have fun! That's what I'm getting from BHVR

Maps only get disabled for gamebreaking bugs. Granted they managed to break one of the pallets so you can't break it from one side.

The Devs don't care about balance or fun. Maps don't get disabled for being genuinely painful, they only get disabled for game-breaking bugs. If a map is disabled, it's never for balance reasons.
I still really want a small map with almost no resources or stealth potential so that everyone can get a taste of the ultimate, unquestionable out-mapping.

tbh I get the feeling that the devs have no idea what is the difference between safe and unsafe pallets....

No one ever said anything to make it seem that was the case. Sorry, but you tricked yourself.

Played as Pinhead on Gideon yesterday.
Nightmare.

The Devs have a pretty good idea of safe and unsafe Pallets. The Game NEEDS safe Pallets, because it does not have many Windows. However, the problem are breakable Walls. Those created Deadends on The Game, which were compensated with more Pallets, because some Pallets are not useable until later in the game.
Remove the breakable Walls and the Pallets to compensate for Deadends and The Game would be like before (but still a very boring Map).
It is just a big shame that they disabled it for so long and now there is an issue again...

the only reason the game has so many pallets is cause the lack of windows.

I had a pallet I couldn't break on one side.
It was a stair pallet, too.

The pallets are part of the charm, I would hate if they got rid of them. They could fix that double god pallet, though, or was it triple? I cannot even remember. It has been SOOOO long since I played it and that sucks because it is in my top 3 favorites.

Besides the stealth and main building dead dawg is pretty close to that

Im a Huntress main so pallets don't bother me as much, high walls is my bain, especially on maps that have endless amounts of them, School, Temple stuff like that.

No, actually, and you already mentioned half of why. Dead Dawg has several strong resources, and insane stealth potential to make up for the weak ones.
First of all, the saloon itself. Enough said, really.
Then there's the Shack, which is almost as strong as a regular shack. No matter what, it's still a strong window joined to a god pallet chained with a strong pallet.
Then there's the building son the opposite street, which spawn some nasty configurations and are almost always solid, if not downright cruel, kind of like the pier in Grim Pantry on steroids but with breakable walls that eventually render it simply "decent".
Then there's at least two very strong pallets (one in front of shack, one in front of the saloon) and multiple potential raised generator spawns, as well as a few strong windows that can spawn.
So no, Dead Dawg is far from resourceless. RNG dependant, perhaps, but not resourceless. And if you were to delete the main building and shrubbery then sure, it would be much weaker. But you may as well talking about deleting the houses from Haddonfield, or in a more accurate comparison, the maze tiles from Coal Tower.
Yes. I just wrote an essay on Dead Dawg. Please don't think this was aimed at you, I just wanted to blurt out my thoughts on a map that I enjoy getting as a survivor and am sick of pretending otherwise for the sake of not being attacked.
Edit: Perhaps it's because people like to burn resources instead of playing mindgames around them that they hate Dead Dawg?

I lost a kill yesterday because Survivor ran the whole map without me being able to catch up, i always had to go around safe pallets and surv just got the hatch after we we're running for 2 minutes, we did the whole freaking map and i couldn't catch up. Mind you i had Brutal strength but the surv can jsut shift W to next pallet while i break the one he threw and if i don't break it than it's a safe loop i'll never get them... How can a Map like this be in the playlist.
Why even have killer role playable if the goal is to make maps that guarantee escapes...

For me personally it’s not the amount of pallets that I take issue with. Sure they can be annoying but it is what it is. The issue is that roughly 90% of the pallets are god pallets. With the other 10% being so unsafe they are better off not existing. Honestly the most fun chases I have on that map are ironically at the few windows the map does have because those both the killer and survivor can at least outplay each other.

This. My understanding was, based on a couple of posts I had seen, that sometimes generators would .. uh generate... in rooms that were only accessible to the killer without breaking a wall. So a generator would be in a room where the generator triggers a large sliding door when it's completed but.. the only other way into the room was a breakable wall.
I mean, c'est la vie, but getting 'two genned' because the third gen is inaccessible would suck... But not every match is fair... right?

i still find this map fun and escapable as survivor though, i don't know. But yeah, when playing killer this map always feels like i have the upper hand and really have to mess up things to lose.

Guess it’s just my experience with the map. I have no problem getting downs quickly as clown on it due to the pallet strength and small size

I have always felt like this. When I hear killer sided I cringe. Stealth game is real on that map, strong buildings on both sides, not to mention it's possible for 4 upper level gens. Hate this map as killer and love it as survivor. The only map you will ever get the "Balance" word from me is Midwich. Love that on both sides and it's the only one I love on both sides.

They should just change the name of the map to “pallet city”.

The Game was disabled because the Pig hasn't been punished lately. So they decided to remove her map for awhile.
